I’m no EV battery expert, but as an Mechanical Engineer, I didn’t see anything that stood out to me as bad. Like you said, many of the decision made sense to me for the application.

Compared to it’s 12mpg predecessor, in terms of CO2 output the Hummer EV is a gigantic leap forward.

Other than the weight, I don’t see where the difficulty was to take it apart to get to the modules and cells. It looks like they came out pretty easily and cleanly which is good for servicing and recycling. That will ultimately reduce repair and insurance costs and increase resale.
