If I can get 20 on the highway in a legit off-roader... I’m pretty satisfied. Would I want that as my daily? Probably not. But that seems like acceptable burn if I also get to wheel when I get where I’m going.
In E60 5-series with the SMG, the gearbox is notorious for being somewhat argumentative, simetimes resulting in a computer shift when you JUST manually shifted, or similar shift annoyances. This is whiplashy. But the SMG is self-learning, so if you find it’s not suiting the road you’re on, you can reset it to the…

I got similar gas mileage, but more realistically worse, in my 2003 4Runner V8.
We used to pack 5 GI’s in battle rattle into our white one along with extra ammo, food water etc for the weekly run to Kabul. Never missed a beat.
I’m assuming there’s a turbo diesel offered elsewhere that ameliorates all the range and mpg problems?
Here’s some things I’ve picked up...
David, just a thought here based on your last post.
Right! But those definite articles precede a name, not a number.
The fact that it’s listed as a 2 door station wagon is cool, I’ve seen a few and Never thought of it as a wagon.
