Exactly, people are being unrealistic in the gearhead community. They aren’t going to make their cars for 30k, use another NA inline 6, or do any of the other bs that other companies don’t even do. The people that say that BMW has “lost their edge” or is for “posers” have absolutely no idea what they’re talking about…

Sure that’s always a possibility, but it probably won’t happen. And even if they did they still only made a handful of 599 manuals so there probably wouldn’t be any lost value.

I’m pretty sure you don’t get the point. It’s only 1 of 29 which makes it an investment so “swapping” a manual in, if it’s even possible, won’t add any value to the car whatsoever.

Porsche’s flat six is technically a boxer engine, the cylinders are horizontally opposed. And an EVO just has a regular inline 4 but the Subie does have a boxer engine.
