This timing chain should be number 1

There’s a guy who lives near me with a black M4 convertible with M stripes and “BMW Motorsport” or “The Ultimate Driving Machine” on almost every f’ing body panel and across the top of the windshield.

In the U.K. Nicholson McLaren Engines built the DFVs for McLaren and a few other teams. They still service them today as well as other engine makes.

Meyer Speedway in Houston. Operated from the early 60s to mid-late 70s, it was a 1/2 mile paved oval. Hosted a Winston Cup race in 1971 that only had 14 cars but Bobby Allison won and Richard Petty also ran it. Now a high school stadium complex is adjacent to it and track property is still vacant.

I didn’t see it referenced elsewhere, this is the same guy that had his Ferrari interior outfitted in denim

My grandmother got a white one in July ‘91 when they went on sale as ‘92s. It’s where I learned what torque steer is. My dad and I picked it up for her and all I remember was wanting the white Integra coupe with dealer installed white leather in the showroom. That would have been a bad idea I have learned in my

Being an Audi driver I agree, hardly ever see them in Texas but seems like I saw a crap ton of them both new and old while I was in Colorado last week (along with numerous Subaru Outbacks and Crosstreks)

Although it was a single car accident, Francois Cevert’s horrific fatal accident in 1973 started in a similar way and almost in the same place just a bit further toward the end of the eases. If you don't know what happened you can google it, by all accounts it was extremely gruesome.

My dad has a ‘14 Passat with that engine, his independent mechanic (who used to work in Germany for VW long ago) says it should only need an ECU reflash, don’t know if that will result in increased Adblue usage or lower mpg.

It has to take the checkered flag and comeback all the way around

They have to cross the line after 24 hours to be classified as a finisher

90's Aston Martin Vantage. Or is it a Thunderbird?

I thought the RE71R was more ideal for Autocross and the RE11 more for track days

I’ll leave this here

He had this parked just outside the paddock at Rennsport, had no idea at the time it was his

Randy Meisner has been battling health problems of his own and was invited to join their last tour but could not participate. Don Felder is the only one they were still on the outs with.

The Aston Martin Nimrod of the early 1980s. I don’t believe it ever won a race in international or IMSA competition. In 1983 A.J. Foyt and Darrell Waltrip were paired in one in the 24 Hours of Daytona and it broke down early in the race. A.J. moved over a Porsche 935 later on and won the race.

And here is the ARCA/NASCAR Winston West race from 1993. Dale Earnhardt, Darrell Waltrip and Ken Schrader ran in it to try out the track after it had been refurbished by the Japanese group that had bought it, in the event some more big races came back here. Due to the Winston Cup race at Atlanta the week before being

My dad went to the first race there in 1969 which was Can Am with Mclaren, Hulme et al, as well as several NASCAR races, I don’t think Indycars raced there until 1973 or 74. From the glory days in 1978 below

I went to a driving event this weekend to sample the big German three, I drove a 228 vs an A3 and CLA250 on an autocross course. The 228 was terrible, run flats and softened ride made it no fun, surprisingly I liked the CLA handling the best though I hated the dash with the glued on iPad look. Same thing for the 535
