The answer is have a lighter car. My 3,100 lb 911 Carrera S is quite stiffly sprung (from a ride frequency perspective) yet is nice and compliant on Chicago-area roads. Less weight = softer springs and dampers to get the same level of body control.

This is more of a symptom of Imola than anything else. The cars have been able to follow within ~0.3-0.6s consistently this year, and on a more open track there would be passing without DRS.
