I think the answer is for news orgs to immediately and deliberately call out things that are not true, as not true.
Except no one does it. If they would actually call them out live, and not pull their punches, the world would be a better place.
I know where you are going with your extensive sarcasm, but we’ve seen over the past 4 years just how much these people exploit their airtime to make programs like 60 mins part of their disinformation campaign. FFS, Trump got billions of dollars worth of free time on every conceivable show in the 2016 election.
Completely agree. If the controlling interests of the media giants were really interested in the truth and stopping facists, they’d never air this crap. Because they only care about money, they will continue to.

It is for whichever Governor(s) kiss Trump’s ass the most.

This.

Well that’s the damn truth.
There will be changes to get things kicked off again, but fundamental and structural changes to how our society operates? No way.
Look at anything outside of tech...
We have a culture and a market that punishes large corporations for cash-on-hand. Until we change the idea that long-term security and rainy day planning is “inefficient”, they will never operate by the same rules that people should operate by relative to personal finance. This crisis is exposing the worst of the…
