Blue collar America has refused to adapt to a changing world, and the government (principally, the congress of the last 8 years) has refused to acknowledge that they will need to help blue collar America to adapt. The inability of people to see that automation, and not export of jobs to other countries, has been and

Business is business and Lordstown is a terrible plant that should’ve gone away ages ago. They have excess capacity and keeping that one open doesn’t make sense.

That is nowhere near the worst offender in terms of noises. At least with a V6 Mustang it has a nearly identical looking brother with a V8. When you see FWD sedans with V8 sounds that never had anything like a V8...that’s bothersome.

FYI slicks have tread depth measurement dimples too...

Bwahahaha the performance stats...

“Of course, some movies also dub incorrect engine notes into their scenes.”

Ranked choice voting should be the standard in every state.

Good for you. As a former Ford employee myself, it’s nice that you have that opportunity. My current company may allow for that in the future. The yearn for that will become far stronger if he wins again in 2020 (assuming he stays in office that long, which he probably will).

I’m perfectly willing to admit to and discuss Obama’s faults as a person and president, but dude, Trump is on an entirely different scale of “jackass”. Not...even...close. The country, through its gerrymandered districts and electoral college election system, elected a raging, narcissistic, misogynist con-artist

It’ll be similar to that. My goodness the Sierra looks so much better.

Some trims around 40%, but most are in the 20-25% range. Still excellent, but it’s not 50%.

You know what? Fuck these politicians. Don’t be mad at GM. Be mad at Trump, Ryan, McConnell and all their cronies.

Did they not learn from the failure that is the 2010+ Camaro?

Because something like a Corolla/Elantra/Focus is ~1/2 the price of a hybrid CUV, getting similar fuel economy?

Hmm, I want to reduce my weekly/monthly expenses, so I go and buy a new vehicle that increases my payment more than it offsets my fuel savings. Got it.

And those hybridized crossovers will be significantly more expensive than the small cars from everyone else. People will want to save money...

And when fuel prices spike, and people want to buy inexpensive, fuel-efficient cars, Ford’s only answer will be expensive hybrid CUVs to compete with the small cars from Japan and Korea. It is a great short term plan, but a horrible long term (5+ years) one. And when they try to react, they will have no plants that

WHEN (not if) oil prices go back up to $100+/barrel and thus regular fuel in the $4+ range, Ford will be screwed. People will want to buy more cheap, fuel-efficient cars. Their answer? Here’s this hybrid CUV for $30-35k. Meanwhile, Toyota, Honda, Hyundai etc will have their small cars available AND hybrid CUVs.

This. So much this.

Yeah honestly I don’t feel the least bit sorry. Own your horrid choice.
