I don't know if I'm proud of being a gamer, but I'm proud of being a person that can see gaming as an interesting and growing form of interaction and entertainment. I know a lot of, " I want to shoot things " gamers, and really I don't want to be lumped in with people just getting their share of violence for the day,

that's barely a month's revenue off WOW. A pittance for that studio, Smart for them to take their time as well. I would make them shed Activision though. That Kotick is hated by the entire industry.

@kylecpcs: you know, I'm really liking this 14 incher, I was able to find it on the Canadian site too which is great (cause I'm Canadian). I would love to find battery life stats before I buy, I know that the Asus has a 6 cell lithium Ion battery and it's smaller (14 inch as opposed to the Sony's 15.5 inch) but the

@kylecpcs: Ahh, that's a nice one too, BUT, it doesn't have a disc drive, and despite disks soon becoming obsolete I'll want to use some at least, and perhaps some DVDs.

@kylecpcs: You know what? That is a pretty awesome deal, especially on the 14 inch one, I'm going to check the battery life on it, Thanks a lot man.

@Maritan: When I was there last summer (and I'm moving to Moscow this september for a semester) I was amazed at how awesome bootlegs were though. I mean at the grocery store they had ripped off 360 games, three for 100ru! You could get 16 psp games for 100 ru.! The only console I didn't see there was the PS3

@Maritan: Well when I was in Peter and Paul Fortress in St.Petersburg Russia I heard it, (it's where they're buried), they've been canonized by the Orthodox Church. So they are saints, re-enacting their assassination might get you in a little hot water with the Russian Government, or at least Russian Orthodox

@kylecpcs: well yeah, around the 1000 dollar mark, but those are Canadian Dollars and if I want to ship if across the border I have to pay Canadian tax as well, and duty. The 999.99 Vaio will end up being 1130, the cheapest Asus Gamer's republic laptop I could find is about 1200, + tax - the $448 Adobe bundle I get

@kylecpcs: they are looking great, but they're a little out of my price range at the moment. :(

@MrHaroHaro: My brother just grabbed a Macbook Pro, he loves it and it's nice for sure. I checked out Cnet and they said that the track pad is good, and with the extra features I'm getting it seems like a good deal. Decided!

@psybab: The EB series is the one I'm getting, it's under $1000, and is really a replacement for my desktop. It's cheaper overall than the other competitor (in my mind) the entry level macbook, which has half as many features, and I'd even need to buy windows 7 to run on bootcamp, not because I dislike OSX, but

@MrHaroHaro: I had to talk to Sony once about my PSP, they seemed pretty decent. The one year international warranty is what got me interested in their service, when I'm abroad though they say I'll have to get my Vaio shipped to a factory to have it fixed, which really I don't mind.

@Deaf Mute: I'm a student as well, I'm going away to Russia for a semester and I don't have a laptop. My desktop isn't a spring chicken, so I decided I wanted to spend the bit extra and get a laptop that can replace my desktop. The new EB series laptops fit the bill for me. Despite the battery life being a little low

@kylecpcs: Well I read build quality goes Asus first, then Toshiba, then Sony, then Apple. I was really looking at the Vaio and Macbooks at 999, and the Sony knocks it out of the park, with a blue-ray drive, i5, 4gs of ram, an ati radeon 5470 at 512mb and a 500 gig hard drive. The Macbook has the old dual core, 25o

Being a Russian Major, and heading to Russia for my next semester, I can't freaking believe how awesome that is.

I'm about to grab an i5 Vaio, I'm guessing Vaios don't sell that well, (but are high up on build quality I've read).

@Liam Kinkaid: ...It's Odin, he sacrificed his eye for wisdom. Check the old mythology out.

@Kogo: lucky man!

@Ash Paulsen: well, sadly I'm leaving on a jet plane soon for a while, so I'll have to take all the Kingdom Hearts I can get, another first of mine would be that Crisis Core was my first JRPG. My PS3 and any chance of playing the first KH games will stay in my home country for the time being, PSP gaming will be my

@Ash Paulsen: you should try Persona 3 Portable if you're a Jrpg fan. It was released last week in NA, and is rated the best psp game to date on metacritic at 94%.
