I like to rub things and the only car I’ve owned that had an unsatisfying texture was a ‘98 Rover 200 - The dash was padded and soft, but had a weird texture to it rather than being smooth. It reminded me of egg boxes. The steering wheel was great though, and the car was overall.
My current car is coming up on 30 years…
It’s got the passenger airbag version of the dashboard, rather than the no-airbag one which has a grab handle though.
So either it had that option originally, or it’s a dash swap?
Eh. Learners here are limited to 125s with 15hp. The plain stuff is good for about 70 and the fancy stuff is good for over 80, all under 10s 0-60. It’s fine.
I don’t think that’s the reason. Magnetic stripe credit and debit cards were around here since the ‘70s and while the percentage of people who have credit cards is a lot lower, everyone has a debit card. They all got replaced by chip and pin cards in 2003.
Oh no, please don’t tell me bad boy bonnets are coming back. Please no.
I think it’s more one of those “one hit wonder in the US, absolutely massive in the rest of the world for 25 years” situations than age.

Short term rental like those failed ‘mobility’ startups tried a few years ago, but a mini rv. Get a part time job with no benefits on one side of the LA sprawl, get another part-time job on the other side, nap in the back of it between them. Gets you to the next job and is cheaper than owning a car or a motel! :|
Yeah, I knew they were adaptions, but thought they were based on novels.
That has to be the weakest explanation possible. Does it also flag “ingredient”? What about “medieval”, or “diet”? I’m calling bullshit.
It doesn’t matter. Takes that make reddit out to be the devil incarnate are part of the Gawker Media/whateveritisnow style guide, and have been for years.
When you actually need the car, it’s less stress to have a couple of extra lessons to freshen up than have to do the entire thing under time pressure.
A couple of years back, the 404 page on Peugeot’s website was a picture of a 404.
Yeah but how many of their training miles are going to be on the kind of roads you hit the second you come off the motorway, rather than just lots of American cities and interstates?
That’s a different model in the range. They’re still offering this one on Alibaba, complete with a promotional video*

I think it probably doesn’t help that people look to America for so much, it’s setting a really low bar for people to go “Yeah, it’s not great. But it’s not America”
tbf if they were getting inspiration off bbc 3 I’d have thought it was from The Mighty Boosh with them costumes.
That would add some extra challenge to making it piss beer into a cup.
Those are some words, there.
