My parents had a tiny camper van back when I was a kid, an Autohomes Bambi, a ridiculous lump of fibreglass stuck on the back of a 1990 Bedford Rascal (a GM built copy of the Suzuki SuperCarry).
It was the source of a huge amount of childhood memories, but ended up needing quite a lot of work, because a heavy camper…
My parents had one back in the day, and used it as a second car. One day, my Dad was working a night shift and a homeless guy broke into it to sleep. And pissed himself in his sleep.
Depends on how fussy you are. They came with a chemical potty toilet that stores under the back seats.
The bed is everything above the actual chassis. The kitchen area (everything behind the window) hangs off the back.
For me, Sunday afternoon Dad viewing in this genre will always be associated with Sean Bean not dying.
ITV’s Hornblower adaptions from the ‘90s?
I can imagine there’s a few people worried by “hey, if we get rid of this and lose a couple of seats...”
Only in some pretty ‘niche’ games.
Video games are full of the Action Dad.
It’s been a while since I’ve seen it - but why wouldn’t it have aged well, other than feeling very early ‘90s? It’s more of a takedown of that kind of thing isn’t it?
The way that it escalates through the movie, with people’s reactions from his behaviour going from him being mocked to being idolised by the neo-nazi…
While the “Let’s make an EV” is a fantastic idea, the base vehicle is uhhh...
Why that over either something with a similar layout but in a condition that requires less body/chassis welding to get to the starting line?
(I guess starting from scratch is either too big a project, or too difficult to register where…
You could find a project car for a bit less, but not one in an assembled and running importable state for that price.
For $5500 you could buy all the parts from an actual right hand drive one and fit them and still have several thousand in change.
I was talking about the Pao, according to Wikipedia the differences between the regular Swift/Cultus/Metro engine and the XFI is cams, map and gearing.
There’s not really a “too many” figure, it’s relative to the engine. I’ve got a car which sits at 5500rpm at 70mph and it’s fine with 90,000+ on the clock, but it’s a small, tough engine that’s designed for it so it’s fine.
There weren’t other engine options, just auto or manual gearbox. It’s a rebodied March for people who want a bit more (any) style, not really an economy-at-all-costs car.
Ad? Isn’t this just one of Duurtlang’s holiday photos?
Nah, they’re giving up on the rebranded-only version of Holden, too.
10 years ago yes, but they’re getting pricey now.
The K12 Micra does not deserve love. It is no K11.
