He isn't. And that's the point. Plus, thematically complex and gimmicky aren't really the same thing.

You and I have very different definitions of Science Fiction.

Yes yes, well done humorless does mean without humor, but I called Nolan humorless, not his films. It's an issue over the subject of the sentence not the meaning of humorless. But that's just terrific that you understand English.

It's been said before: Nolan is Michael Bay with better film-making skills.

Did I say his films don't have funny parts? I don't think I did. But name even one film that is "fun" or even "enjoyable" - the man takes himself way way too seriously.

The only film which makes less and less sense on every watch for me. It's as though Christopher Nolan was trying so hard to make us believe it was fact, that he didn't bother to ask, if it were fact is this what would happen. Let's start with: future people place a wormhole for contemporary people to explore space,

You're wrong, people don't think Nolan is emotionless, they think he is humourless. Which he is. And its why even his best films are not as good as he thinks they are

9 issues are not negligible. I mean it's more than Ellis and Shalvey did on Moon Knight and that run was great.

Oh and Lumberjanes. I love Lumberjanes.

I haven't really read much of it yet. Seems good though.

Batman, New Avengers/Avengers, the Fadeout, East of West, Wonder Woman, teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Lazarus, Deadly Class, Black Science

Both Thor films are much worse though. I really hope the third one does something better with him, although the writing on The Dark World was appalling and Ragnarok has the same writers. It doesn't look promising.

Yeah, me too. I loved it when I saw it. Largely because I liked the way it focused on how Tony is more than just his suit, but it is one of the worst MCU films to rewatch

And Marvel fanboys thought Iron Man 3 got bad when, in actual fact, the stereotypical terrorist turned out to be created by a corporate American sub-committee. Before that all was right with the world

Yeah, I'm loving Hickman's run. I think it's one of the best things coming out of the big two these days, but you're absolutely right it reads better in trades, or on rereading. There are a couple of issues that are a little too boring on their own.

You get off on provocation, don't you?

Really no. It's my blood boil a few times.

I agree with you, loss of power does have a role to play. It Is often overlooked though that feminism requires a shift in masculine identity as much as it requires a shift in feminine identity. Too often it is seen as a case of "shame. Deal" as opposed to looking at ways that feminists can influence and help create

I looked for high-waisted pants for months after I saw this film. The fashion world needs to get cracking.
