Bigger question, why is the woman driving in the first place? Not that women can’t drive, but I can count on one hand the number of times my wife has driven when I’m in the car in the past decade, and it is almost always when we are on a long trip and I need a quick nap.

Isn’t this the Supra replacement everybody is begging for? Just throw in the Getrag Manual and you’re set. I’m curious if the Toyota/BMW collaboration will end up more expensive than this. They should just use this chassis and a Toyota motor instead.

Does it “feel” lightweight like older Hondas?

This is the exact expression I had when I saw the new CTR exterior for the first time...

It will outsell the baseball cap 10:1 sadly.

Lol so true

Hey at least he’s not a mall crawler. I have respect for him for actually using the suspension. Being here in the heart of offroad country I see a dozen huge Jeeps each day and they have every nut and bolt underneath spotless. The “FOX” shocks are all for show.

You don’t notice the lack of torque at the track when you never drop below 6000 RPM, but admittedly driving around the street its quite obvious.

Good luck, only 320 1997s were built. 1998 had 1002 made although the 2 are debated. 97 Rs are extremely rare.

You can’t take a Rav 4 around a tight corner at 50 MPH

Jimmy, see my username. You have my dreamcar. Find me on nsxprime, UN:bambbrose. I have a registry of all 97-01 blue NSX, wouldn’t mind adding yours to the list!

Thank you for capturing the essence of the R in your article. There is truly no modern equivalent. I’m the proud owner of US 98-0408 (all US spec 97 and 98 are Championship White as well). Its a joy to drive and puts a smile on my face each time.

Horizontal so you can roll coal out the center while strolling down the neighborhood at 5 MPH

agghh those spider eye 2g eclipse/talon are the absolute worst incarnation of the Altezza tails.

I would hope that it isn’t turbo, but instead went on a massive diet, the likes of the Type R lines from Honda of the 90s, along with a modest increase in power.

and the username...

I’m one of the odd ducks I guess. It was wrenching in high school that led me into engineering, then later physics.

This isn’t necessarily true. Within the electric motor there are variations on the magnet type (rare earth or FE based), and the more important part, the inverter, can vary in quality significantly. Think Miller Tig vs. Harbor Freight Tig Inverters. I do agree though that the electronics will be outsourced to a few

Do it, they are a blast. I had a 91 and loved it. The 93+ non-turbo is a surprisingly capable car for the money if you aren’t dead set on acceleration.

Sooo much plasticcc
