We desperately need more and better ways to screen for and diagnose endo. But from what’s presented here, this doesn’t seem to be it. There doesn’t seem to be an actual test for endometriosis. Mercury’s queerness was demonized as the thing that broke up the band (the band didn’t actually break up). His main queer relationship framed his partner as a straight up queer villain. And the way they moved up the diagnosis and framed it, AIDS was essentially framed as a punishment for his queerness and lifestyle.

Yep! And their latent homophobia comes through loud and clear, while painting themselves as upstanding family men.

And the producer, of course, was...Mike Meyers.
