not the bulbous car pretending to be an SUV that is the Y or X”

1000x this. I distinctly remember eagerly sitting at my laptop waiting to watch the live steam of the cybertruck reveal. I fully expected that if it was anything remotely in line with the rest of the tesla model lineup styling that I would put a deposit on a reservation that very night.

I think they started off the same, then an hour amongst other drivers and the idea of murder mayhem and violence seems like a really good plan

That was my thought, too. My i3 has a well-documented method to do a basic check, and a dealer can do a full assessment.

This was my thought too. Though rudimentary, the gauge on the Leaf I used to have did present battery health. Was it just not accurate or something?

I’ve seen them bust through Ice but yeah this problem is 10x worse on Model 3 / Y with the manual handles.

There were a few generations of those door handles (superfast Matt did a good breakdown)

Sadly their Achilles heel is just poor strain relief on the wiring harness as well as cracks in the drive gear. I’ve rebuilt 2 of mine. Tesla just changes the whole handle for like $1k but the kit to rebuild with better wires is

The thing is, MB, Porsche, Audi, and BMW only had one benchmark when they developed their cars which was Tesla. So they kind of all went their own way based on their vision of “this is what the new way is.” It’s not like their top-line cars where they’re benchmarking each other’s current generation and one-upping each

Love the story, you are underselling that valet lot too, (I have a place on Bay Harbor Islands right behind the shops and will often just walk to the shops for the day) often Brett will leave one of the Paganis at the shops or one of the always funny encounters is when Anuell AA drives the Grand Sport Vitesse and

When I was in Miami, I went slighly north of there to pick up an i8 convertible from Turo, and I stopped in Bal Harbour on my way back. On the one hand, I only saw one other i8 the entire time I was down there (and it was a hardtop), yet I lost track of how many Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Rolls Royces I saw.

Most of the weight savings is in deleting the sunroof. Yes, it’s around 9 pounds to go from a non-sunroof roof to a carbon one.

That’s not how tax deductions work. Donations to charity only offset your taxable income, and you also have to subtract the fair market value of the product purchased. Assuming the Cybertruck is worth, what, $50-75k, the donor can deduct $325-350k. At a 37% tax rate, that works out to be a tax savings of $120-130k.

Does that figure include what dealers spend advertising?

I have a friend that bought a model 3 2020 and liked it so much that his wife bought a Model Y . I drove the 3 but only rode in the Model Y. I thought the ride quality was fine - this is on smooth roads.

I live in Colorado and found the ride in both to be good enough. I sold the 3 for the Y because I hit my head getting in and out of the 3 a good bit, I had no complaints about the ride.  A friend’s wife didn’t like the ride in her Y so we swapped the suspension, it was a good bit of work and (in my opinion) not worth

Not to mention Tesla’s preference to do running changes to improve its manufacturing and assembly costs. They iterate much quicker than legacy OEMs, driving costs down quicker and improving margins through the model’s lifecycle.

Kinda funny how this article didn’t mention the GM product this is based on at all.

The previous version of this was worse and they knew it looked bad but they still didn’t actually make it look good.
At least they know it’s ugly, unlike the blind folks at BMW.
I want Inifiti to make desirable cars again!
How long has it been since they’ve updated their platforms or anything?

The back looks worse.

Thanks for the link! I'm about to order new badges for my 9-3 convertible right now.
