He’s everything I hate about modern automotive media people. Just a bunch of uncreative and unimaginative casuals who love to pump out hyperbolic, manic, Jeremy Clarkson-aping “content” that’s just long enough to be able to be monetized.

The ultra-loyal zealots who hang of Elon’s every word are a tiny but vocal minority of Tesla owners. For most non-car people, “Tesla” and “EV” are all-but synonymous, with good reason. Many non-car people interested in getting an EV have had the frustrating experience of going to other brands and finding that the…
I think it would be helpful to say that EV’s are not good for the environment, only less bad than ICE vehicles. I am ok with that, but the media is disingenuous with painting EV’s as solving climate change. Industry and power generation are the biggest culprits in CO2 emissions.
Equally unimpressive and bizarre is just how out of place the 992 GT3 wheels and an R8 GT spoiler are on an otherwise completely stock looking jellybean
Yeah but as long as they like the number of a spec sheet, they’ll “feel” faster when sitting in their commuter traffic. And that’s what really matters.
look up the VW AP550 motor (it’s debuted in the ID7). It is a significant improvement. The old ID4 has 201 HP and 229 lb-ft. The new AP550 generates 282 HP and 402 lb-ft. The early reviews of the ID4 say there is much more power than the older models
That’s a pretty good looking Genesis! (Is it just me?)
I just have a soft spot for the C4 platform because I had a 100cs (precursor to the A6) that was bullet proof. I bought it with 172,000 miles on it did the timing belt/water pump at 200k and never had a problem with it after. The 12v V6 (mounted longitudinally) was both easy to work on and decently powerful (172hp and…
In Alfa-Romeo’s defense, that drag coefficient is phenomenal for a car on the back of a flatbed tow truck.
Still a dream of mine, to own the first-gen R8 with a gated manual and V10. Will also settle for the V8 and manual transmission. Either that, or I’d buy a Gallardo of the same era. VAG was making some risky moves back then, and a lot of them were quite successful. The R8 / Gallardo are definitely missed.
An absolutely wonderful supercar and the end of an legend.
exactly this. Old money is driving a beat to hell old jeep wagoneer while wearing a plain-looking watch that’s worth a fortune.
I was on this road in mid-June 2008. Luckily, there isn’t much darkness that time of year. We loved our stay in Ullapool and the Highlands, and, well, Scotland in general. Not sure I’d want to drive the roads up there all the time though.
Which is why a nice RWD 6spd example goes for 2X as much and more, they drive so much better. I guess fast is relative, I find 6 seconds to 60 plenty quick in a grocery getter. It’s a car that feels faster than it is with the six howling away - and in my case howling a bit louder though the BMW Performance intake and…
They are nice cars TBH, one of the last big RWD sedans with a good ride and good backseat, interior isn’t really that bad. As for the E-Class origins it uses the rear suspension cradle and front/rear suspension from the W211 E which was made from 2002 to 2009, that’s it (at least for the latest ones, older ones used…
That would actually make me more upset than just slashing prices to begin with, but I guess to the normies it eases the pain a bit.
First gear: if the Motor and battery pack is the same but de-tuned, how is it getting significantly lower mileage? I mean it’s still good range, but that’s odd to me.
Dude, proofread your work.
The Wrangler, preferred vehicle amongst off-roading cosplayers.
Yeah - not sure why the put that on every build on their site. If I had $50k, and HAD to buy a new car, I would get this because it’s very reliable, comfortable, and gets good MPGs. I am at the stage of my life where floating to work in silence is desired...local classic music NPR station on...sipping coffee...laughing…
