Give the corporations time, they’ll sort out that whole ‘innocent until proven guilty’ thing in the court system, too.

People are presenting this as a choice, when the 8 are called “cant’ wait” for a reason. They’re the bare minimum we should be doing, not ALL we should be doing. The 8 are the starting point, and designed to make a big impact upfront, because let’s face it: that’s probably all we’re going to get before it’s “Mission

It’s deeper than that. Corporate privatization of prisons should be outlawed. The entire prosecutorial system needs to be overhauled. Cash bails should be abolished. Laws need to be rewritten (especially the draconian crack v. powder law). The 13th Amendment needs amending.

Some departments need to be disbanded and reformed from the ground up. No amount of legislation or federal oversight will correct them. Once a cancer has spread to the entire body, the body must be allowed to die.

This is the problem with the whole ‘we take care of our own’ mentality most police have. If you have 10 bad cops and 90 good cops that don’t do anything about the 10, you have 100 bad cops.

This is what happens when someone has no fear of accountability of any kind.

One could argue it’s a mob. A terrorist cell.

A lot of police, across the country, woke up yesterday and thought “Give me a reason.” For so many, their attitude wasn’t to protect life or property or maintain decorum, but to confront and put down protesters challenging their authority. That, along with the obvious racial component, is why these protests are

The saddest part is how many murdered Black people and uprisings didn’t even make this list.

You left out The Boston Busing riots of the 70's. The death and injury of two men in December of 1986 at Howard Beach NY at the hands of a mob of white teenagers. The Central Park Five’s bullshit conviction in 1989 and a certain Editorial by a fat, repulsive, sexual predator in The NY Times. The murder of Yusef

You don’t need to, just read up on institutional racism at your local library.

In this particular case, I will take his word for it.

It’s not like he was free and running around. He was in a hospital under police supervision the whole time - he wasn’t going anywhere.

With every episode so far of the season being flawless, I would have considered it a crime if it wasn’t renewed.

You know, Instagram turned into a hardcore-sex social media platform so gradually, I didn’t even notice!

“We are a peaceful group, and wish to keep it that way at all costs,” the statement continued. “We aren’t looking for a fight. We in fact, want the opposite. We want to put on a smile, shake some hands, and be friendly. An armed society is a polite society.”

List definitely needs “Smoke Two Joints” (not the Sublime version, the original one by The Toyes.)
