I thought the exact same thing.
i like the one where she's not wearing a shirt and she's just wearing a bra.
I'm gutted. The companions have always been the character the audience identifies with, and Sarah Jane was THE Companion for an entire generation of WHO fans. I remember being a little kid, seeing The Brain of Morbius on TVO, and being absolutely terrified and enthralled - not totally understanding The Doctor, but…
Heh, I've owned this for a few years (was a huge fan as a kid) and made more than a few friends sit through it. They've always protested at first, but ultimately enjoy themselves. Ritter is fantastic in it.
All "awesome" marriages are fantasy.
I know... I need to coin the phrase or something. At least get credit in the history books!
Haha, yay!
Ape-ocalypse!
I respected your opinion until you said, "Steve Martin was kinda funny".
I remember Secret Wars so vividly. Amazing Spiderman comes out, at the end of the issue he gets zapped off to fight in the Secret Wars. Secret Wars #1 comes out. Then the next issue of Spiderman hits the stands, and he has this crazy new suit, and it took months to find out where the suit came from.
I haven't seen it, but I feel like this movie should have had some kind of narrative device like The Princess Bride... Someone in the present telling the tale... It would have justified the language and the anachronisms I've heard people complain about...
So when the world ends we're all going to go into underground tunnels and dance? Ok.
that would have been brilliant!
And those are the elements that didn't work for me. The elements that did: Roth as Superman, it being a continuation of the Donner films, the look, the feel, the music... It's heart was in the right place, but the script wasn't great.
I watched All-Star-Superman last night. It was excellent, and reminded me of what makes Superman so great. Even though Superman Returns didn't totally work, I think it was sort of treated un-fairly. A lot of the individual elements were great, it just didn't add up. But Singer was on the right track.
As I remember, it comes from: It ain't your dick and it ain't your asshole.... it ain't. tain't. taint.
I hate being negative on the internet (I know, right!?) but this looks terrible... It feels like an American High School Sketch Troupe obsessed with Holy Grail made a movie... I'm not British, but if I were, I'd be sort of offended... I mean, what is the point of this?
Well, not all of us have read the Rise of the Apes script, so I'm sorry that I was unaware of the discrepancies... Albeit, they seem somewhat minor.
