Agreed. I thought BW was utilized properly in IM2 and Avengers as a spy. Even during the Chitauri invasion, she was relegated to protecting civies. She was shown to have difficulty keeping up. AoUltron and Civil War just kept upping the stakes but she somehow was able to keep pace.

I see your point, but I wouldn’t say “every” Shield agent. I mean AoS makes a point to show that there’s Melinda May level, and pretty much everyone else. And I’m pretty sure Widow is at least closer to May than to everyone else.

Maybe we don’t need THIS movie to build up each character and their motivations and whatnot. They’ve all got their own movies/franchises for that.
