Dude, you're completely missing the concept that it's a fallible human being that has to make the call. And they have to do it nearly instantaneously. And they don't have the benefit of instant replay, like the thousands of armchair warriors do the next day while watching highlights on ESPN.

So between replacement refs and the whole infield fly fiasco... what are the chances that the 'rule change' will have any actual effect?

He woulda gotten more pagehits if he said Jean, or even Sasha.

You can still buy a RHD Wrangler from the dealership these days. They're special order, so not every dealer might be willing to do that, and even those that do might want to tack on an extra charge... but it's not like it'd be that hard to get your hands on one.

There's a POS subaru around here somewhere that the owner has pretty much taken this idea to the extremes. I don't know if the owner was aware, but one of his stickers actually says "This car powered by NOS stickers".

Yeah, I'm going with Hampton Inn with that shower curtain and decor. Those places are quite spiffy nowadays.

As the submitter for #1, I feel safe answering this one.

But that's just it... you can't nickel and dime them to death, and then complain when they're not effective. Just because some people don't want them doesn't mean there's not a need for them.

You know, if you pay bottom dollar for a routine task then you routinely get bottom dollar applicants. Not to diss on teachers, but the same is true there: if you're not willing to pay these people a decent wage then you don't get to complain when they don't live up to your expectations.

You know the absolute best sign of a great driver? How about the concept that you don't notice anything about their driving?

Dear Casey,
