I sat through the anthem at an Isles game this season and didn’t get anything, which surprised me given that Isles fans are...y’know. I haven’t been to a baseball game in about a decade but if I get to Yankee Stadium this year, I’m planning on sitting. It’ll be fun!

Well the anthem was happening before that. It just wasn’t quite as big a deal before. But the anthem doesn’t bother me terribly. The 7th inning should be Take Me Out to the Ballgame, though.

It is time we stop singing any patriotic songs at sports games. No other country sings their national anthem before every single (non-international) sporting event no matter how inconsequential. God Bless America during the 7th inning stretch just plain sucks.
