Even if there might’ve been better single player stories in the meantime, and I can’t think of any, though I still need to go through games like Prey and Wolfenstein 2, I haven’t run into levels that were as fun or interesting as the time jump one or the pre-fab factory. 

I can kind of understand not going with a star system for ungreying, because I’ve noticed people capable of expressing popular opinions before veering into nonsense 9/11 or anti-semitic conspiracies.

It’s naive to think that any serious public health system wouldn’t result in substantial job loss for the private insurance sector. The European models, even the hybrid ones, go for offering comprehensive levels of care, not the bare minimum that is then supplemented by private insurance.

Along with the security aspect mentioned by Befitzero, there’s the ubiquity of phone lines compared to internet access, the record-keeping benefits, and regulations that demand its continued use.
