Forgot all about that S2-S3 timeline. So then it really does seem like they made 3 standalone narratives because S1 doesn’t have anything to do with S2, and Season 2 doesn’t have anything to do with Season 3.

She left a huge hole in the Discovery cast when she left. I love me mirror Georgiou, as a balance to the doe-eyed optimism of Burnham and Tilly.

Ehh, I have heard some people say that about FC, but generally that idea applies to Insurrection most of the time i’ve seen it.

I dunno, they gave him quite a sendoff (final scene notwithstanding), by showing that Kirk could kick Picard’s ass in a fight (since he beat Soran, who wiped the floor with Jean Luc), lol. Fanboys probably loved that one.

From what I’ve heard, the insane-o fans backlash against TLJ was so bad that they pulled a “Jar Jar” rewrite of the third act to try and appease the fans.

It did have another great Picard delivered speech even if the reasoning behind it was somewhat questionable.

I actually did hear that in Logan Roy’s voice.

I get the feeling that the truly great writers want the freedom to reshape the ST universe to their own whims, and know that if they did, would get the insane-o fans wrath, no matter how good or bad the writing actually was. So its not as appealing a job as most people think.
