That poor girl might need medical treatment, but all she'll probably get is a whole bunch of traumatic memories and possible criminal charges.

Gosh, I'm so glad we have people like Alan Elliot around to remind us that having babies as a result of pregnancy is a thing that can happen! Thanks, Alan!

This is getting scary that you can be charged/prosecuted for having a miscarriage. If your body doesn't cooperate like it *should* and carry the fetus to term, be prepared to suffer consequences. As if you can even prevent a miscarriage or that a teenager would know what to do in that situation.

In my experience, they lose their shit when reminded that asylum is a thing under any circumstances. Their knowledge of actual immigration laws is pretty near nil.

What a time to be white.

As the palest white person ever, I understand where this ebullience is coming from.

I'm so confused because I thought this was satire, and then... it's not? I can't post pics, but... wat?

I mean, "zero to Latina in 30 seconds" is a pret-ty strong start.

"There's been a cultural shift," Hillhouse, the psychologist, said. "Fifteen years ago, you would not have seen an article in Seventeen or Cosmopolitan about the dangers of indoor tanning, but now it's very common."

Pale girl here.

Yes. in Jr. High (1990) I was always told via Sassy Magazine that my pale skin was hip, cause of cancer, y'all. This is a couple decades late.

Finally? Historically speaking being tan hasn't been fashionable for very long. Being pale has however been considered beautiful in many centuries.

Wait, this wasn't already a thing? I've been on Team Sunblock (TM) since I got that terrible sunburn when I was 8 and never went tan again (only sunburnt or back to so-white-it's-almost-blue), so...

White people. Lol.

In comparison to my family, I am incredibly pale. However, growing up in Miami I was able to see how long-term sun exposure looked and it was not pretty. Leathery, scaly, crispy skin. Gross. I'm glad other people are hopping on board.

Oh, please, white-people-who-don't-know-better, do not try to befriend me for the explicit purpose of procuring a black friend. Be kind, be cool, don't be an ass and if there is a basis for friendship it will happen. Call me "girlfriend" in our first conversation, ask me to teach you to twerk or go deep on hair

The hair products are fantastic! I stopped using them because I moved kinda far away from any CVS stores, but that line used to be my fave.

I'm a bonafide skincare snob so any celebrity-backed line will get an automatic side eye from me but, I'm must say, there is actually some pretty great stuff in the Nuance line and maybe this ad push will pull in customers like me who are leery of the celeb factor.
