I did because I know some people think us drug addicts are the worst of the worst. Even worst than those fuckers. I’m not changing hearts and minds but I wanted to demonstrate the disdain so many of my fellow citizens sees me as worst than killers and rapists. The mind of a conservative!

Eh, you might be a troll but I’ll respond. Yes, I’m a drug addict. And yes, I accept my responsibilities. Where did I blame anyone in my comment?

What I don’t understand is how they had multiple run ins with CPS with no real action taken.

“I did it myself. I spent the days mostly in this exact outfit—this coat, these Ugg boots, leggings, no makeup, my hair tied up in a bun, Ubering back and forth between the hotel and the house, measuring.”

>her gubernatorial run sets a chilling precedent for celebrities seeking elected office

My family was in Germany during the war and their strategy of keeping their heads down and hoping it would pass didn’t work. By 1945 most of the homes and the family business had been bombed into the ground and most of the men had died or disappeared in Russia.

I don’t remember the post-2000 election at all this way. People were clamoring for Gore to run again in the lead up to 2004. He won the election in 2000, then told us all to stand down when we wanted to riot after the SCOTUS decision. We (mostly) listened. He spoke out against the Iraq war early, was already working

Yeah, it’s funny how the woman who was running wrong is also the woman who lost wrong. It’s like there’s some underlying reason why these people think everything she does is wrong...

Not everyone turns their campaign book into a year plus egotistical pity party that regularly makes news when they relitigate the election at promo stops.

She is still held responsible for Bill’s cheating and sexual harassment/assault allegations by the same people who praise Melania for her beauty and elegance.

She’d be getting nowhere near the same degree of flack if she’d done what other failed presidential candidates have done over the past couple decades and shut up/gone away for a year or two before resurfacing.

Oh come on. At this point Clinton could say “we’ve been having nice weather lately” and the media would immediately start screaming “CLINTON OUT OF TOUCH WITH PLIGHT OF FARMERS AS DROUGHT WORSENS!” or “CLINTON ADMITS CLIMATE CHANGE A HOAX!”

I suspect I’m in the minority but this: “...it isn’t necessarily helpful at this very moment.” fucking irks the shit out of me. Like, what, she’s supposed to slink off back to the kitchen where she should’ve stayed to begin with, because that’s what’s HELPFUL for us right now? Fuck that.

Yeah, how dare she answer questions that are asked of her. The bitch!

What’s chilling is how swift and sure that movement is. It’s not the first or second or hundredth time she’s dodged Daddy.

I biked to work three times, even on the torrential downpour day, and even though I’ve started going in an hour early!

That’s an interesting take but I can’t agree with it. Rural Appalachia, for example, has a pretty decent amount of suffering (even if just relative to other Americans) but it’s still full of conservative evangelicals, and then there’s quite a few Christian Democrats.

My experience is that this is a really common attitude among people who are poor and who have little chance to ever not be poor. Life happens to you-the idea of free will or having decisive power over your life is laughable. It’s...somewhat understandable.

I grew up in that same religious environment, and I can tell you that it’s a mindset that says that there is never a resolution to any problem, or even any issue, whether social, financial, medical, political, or whatever. I never met a single human being in that environment who was truly happy, and I met so many who

If video games are the issue - wouldn’t the rest of the world be suffering from the same rash of mass school shootings?
