Posted my thoughts in another comment but this essentially mirrors mine. To me its a portable gaming machine that also connects to the TV and plays Nintendo games. For the price and for me that makes it worth it.

The Wii U had some issues but I had loads of good times with it. Also, its the one console I play with my girlfriend and we had plenty of good times with various games! Nintendo always manages to offer something so great that you’re willing to accept and live with the negative parts of it haha.

Fair review, though I think that list of small annoyances is a bit forced in some places, like the short HDMI cable or AC adapter issue for example.

Agreed that Birthright was a bit disappointing but I’m enjoying Conquest for now, at least because of the added challenge and the story is better than Birthright. Also felt like choosing Nohr made more sense story wise, even if they come off as evil. Now I’m curious about Revelations too but I don’t think I’ll get to

I had the same experience and am currently playing through Conquest, though I did play Birthright after Awakening first as well. Not too far in yet but I like the added challenge and also the smaller pool of heroes to choose from. Seemed like too many to juggle in Awakening and Birthright.

If Switching is a priority for someone then they can just not buy that particular game. For the rest, they’ll have more games to play. Again, no downside to those that only want games they can play in both handheld and on a TV. I agree it should be very clearly indicated on the box of the game or on the eshop of

I don’t understand why people consider this a bad thing. All it does is expand the library of games available on the Switch, with no downside. Further, this could open the door to allow for DS and 3DS games on the Switch. The single screen could be split similarly to how the Wii U handles DS games on the gamepad. If

Agreed, very strange. I also always found it weird how the same game would release for Wii U and 3DS VC but not at the same time (and of course no cross-buy).

Me too. At the same time I hope it doesn’t take them years to build that VC library. Couldn’t they outsource VC to lighten their load and speed things up? Just tell them not to change a thing, let Nintendo vet, test and review and done? At least it seems like they’ve been speeding up VC releases a lot lately....

I had no idea the Wii U had DS titles! Just saw a video of it in action, including the vertical mode haha. Now I really hope they make it happen and just eventually phase out the 3DS!

I sure hope they didn’t give you a Switch to review! Though if they did, throw it my way in your fit of rage!

Ah right forgot that they charge like that too so its possible they’re not wireless when in handheld mode. On the other hand, the close proximity could just make the connection stronger and more stable.

Have you had issues with connectivity?

Hey I’m currently playing Birthright too! And I will probably also find it weird that I have two portable Nintendo consoles I can take with me for my long commute to work. I imagine one will stay home but man how I long for the day when I can have just one console for everything. Just let me play all Nintendo games on

I guess that’s just how twentysomethings talk then huh. There were a couple lines in the video above that just reminded me of SP but yeah does seem different otherwise. I like the overall style of the game though

I’m getting a strong Scott Pilgrim comic conversation style vibe from their little chat before the song. Is that just me? Do people talk like that? Have I read Scott Pilgrim too many times? (yes I have)

He clearly has fans haha, guess I’ll get to grinding a bit! Thanks!

New to the Fire Emblem series, playing this and Awakening on the 3DS. Is Donnel any good or is it just the story factor (the little farmer that could)? I’ve tried using him a bit in Awakening but not sure if it’s worth it!

Only good reason to use the browser in my opinion. Maybe they’ll have a workaround for that? (But who knows since we’re not getting any info on anything!!)

Congratulations on the purchase! I think you got a good deal on the PC, especially since you can easily upgrade and/or replace parts should you need to.
