“The hell is a hoverboard? You guys are all such phonies,” commented one H. Caulfield, a young man in an ‘ironic’ hunter’s cap.

I always thought I would have liked the X Files so much more if it was a 50/50 chance whether or not there was a rational explanation for everything in each episode. It makes the dynamic of the skeptic and the believer work so much better.
I don’t really have a definition for one, I just always hear it applied to people a lot younger than me. Something about doing things because other people think they’re silly or cheesy or old fashioned just because others think they’re silly or cheesy or old fashioned. I don’t know. I’m still trying to get my mind…
He’s really a great guy in lots of other ways. And very smart. Just this side of him is annoying.
Of course they do. Don’t be ridiculous. This is reality. Tim Cook isn’t running Apple from his throne on a skull-shaped island.
And honestly, we’ve had each other’s back so many times that we will always be friends... and at this point, we have so many shared memories that when he starts in on this stuff, I can change the subject to “hey, have you heard from _____?”
Because he’s a very good friend in many other ways. It’s just this part of him that’s hard to take. I’ve known him since I was 14 and we’ve always had each other’s backs. There are a lot of things about him I love, just not that part of him.
He’s aware.
Well like I said, he’s a really good friend in a lot of other ways and I’ve known him since I was 13 or 14, so I’m pretty used to putting up with it.
Honestly, he’s a really good friend in other ways and I really owe him a lot (he really owes me a lot too, but that’s how good friendships work). This side of him is just hard to deal with.
There’s nothing wrong with doing it... as a project. Doing it to have a tablet because there is no tablet good enough for your standards if you don’t make it yourself OUT OF FUCKING WOOD is nuts.
Surprisingly not.
He is a really good friend otherwise. He has gone out of his way to help me when I have needed help.
He is not. Hipsters are not of my generation.
Bedbugs in NYC movie theatres? What the fuck?!
That’s sort of his thing. He has always wanted to be a sort of tech version of a wise guru that people go out to his shack in the woods to seek enlightenment from. He seems to think that is what is happening too. I humor him.
His feelings on pop culture are nothing to his feelings about computers. He told me the other day that he’s finally going to have a tablet.
So no evidence. Just more words. Got it. You sure are big on specifics with language which is weird considering how fluid it is. If I called you a silly person a few centuries ago, it would mean you were blessed... you silly person.
Feel free to provide evidence to support this “astronomy has to be about cool names for people to care” theory of yours. This is, after all, a scientific subject.
I have a yard full of them if they want to experiment more.
