Multiple people have pointed out that they could just call themselves the Skins. It’s not like that ball they play with doesn’t have that in its nickname.

For once, laying people off isn’t the solution to all of her problems...
How is it a softer attitude when I’ve repeatedly said that it doesn’t excuse slavery at all? Like I said, just because some rape victims like Chrissie Hynde blame themselves for their rapes, that doesn’t excuse rapists. You keep clinging to this idea that I am somehow excusing slavery when I am not doing that at all.
Good for you. We got married in our early 20s but we waited until our 30s to have a kid because we knew we didn’t want a child until we could afford a child and had a good child-free marriage to enjoy first.
Okay, well you can go ahead and deny human nature if you like. I’m guessing it’s because you think that somehow excuses slavery even though it doesn’t.
Terre Haute, unfortunately.
And yet, it’s still the only way you’re going to get me to discuss this topic with you.
Fair enough, if there’s no evidence, there’s no evidence... My point was that there’s certainly evidence of slaves in many cultures that wanted to be slaves for one reason or another, but that doesn’t make slavery any less wrong, those people were simply a product of their times.
That’s essentially what I was trying to say, yes. It was a fear of the unknown that convinced them to be content with lives they shouldn’t have been content with.
Stockholm Syndrome... and is it really Stockholm Syndrome if it’s literally the only life you know? People will live in all kinds of horrible ways instead of facing the unknown, because they’re used to that horrible life, which they don’t realize is so horrible because they don’t know there’s a better one, and they…
That sounds painful for entirely different reasons, but I get the point.
Some of them were captives, but some fought willingly. You are looking back at that time with modern sensibilities. It is abhorrent to us now, but some slaves liked being slaves and fought to protect their masters. That doesn’t mean they should have been enslaved, it just means that people often support things that…
I did not.
You have no idea what Michael King means to so many people... don’t you know how many young African-American boys and girls grow up reading Tihe mauri ora: Aspects of Maoritanga or A place to stand: a history of Turangawaewae Marae?!
To be fair, Zimbabwe has a few bigger problems...
It was right after the March on Milwaukee.
Oh, don’t worry, I plan to keep avoiding the point until you learn to act with some decorum.
Huh. It’s so weird how I’m refusing to discuss an issue with someone who is being rude to me for no reason whatsoever...
Isn’t the real question whether or not it is ethical to shop when you there’s nothing you actually need to buy?
Sure there were... the ones that defected to the Union and brought intel with them.
