I had never heard anything by Jerry Lee Lewis before this week until this video showed up in my recommended feed (possibly because of this movie), and I was absolutely amazed by the performance.

When I read the subheadline, I was hopeful at first there were over fifty hours of never-before-seen footage of the Goodbye Yellow Brick Road sessions from 1973 edited into a nine-hour documentary in 2022. Alas, we’re lucky that exists for the Beatles though...
I miss Billy on the Street!
Very good point. As I wrote on another thread, seasons 5 and 6 really change your perception of how Jimmy and Kim’s relationship evolves through the series upon rewatch. In retrospect, I don’t think their relationship was ever close to being in jeopardy, even if that’s what you’re led to believe on first watch. I…
I would say a rewatch really changes your perception of how Jimmy and Kim’s relationship evolves over the series. In retrospect, I don’t think it was ever hanging by a thread, even though that’s what you’re led to believe on first watch. I think Kim is attracted to Jimmy BECAUSE of all the red flags he presents, so he…
Aside from Nacho’s odyssey, this season so far has had a very “slow burn” buildup, which I suppose is keeping in spirit with the type of show “Saul” has been all along. Still, I can’t believe there’s only 7 episodes left. Feels like there’s a lot of territory yet to be covered.
That was actually the one scene that didn’t quite work for me. It’s a huge pet peeve of mine in film when it’s obvious the actors aren’t in the same room together. Always takes me out of it.
The interesting thing about The Office is how its popularity seemed to come back in a huge wave with younger audiences years after it ended. I feel like people forget just how much its popularity faded by the last two seasons when it was still on the air.
There may be a possible explanation for this: the writing for this season feels incredibly tight and more thoughtful because the pandemic prevented them from starting season 3's filming when they began writing season 4. As a result, they had the ability to go back and rewrite parts of season 3 based on ideas they came…
I just always bask in this show delivering us the unexpected. Howard Hamlin in a boxing ring? Lalo in undercover spy mode? This stuff brings such delight.
Been a long time, Pops. Your comments on the New York Jets are missed.
When asked to comment on his brother’s departure, I assumed his response was going to be, “I guess we’ll just have to adjuuuuuuuuuuuuuuusttt!!!!!!”
If Mike already knows Jimmy and Kim well enough to observe Kim is made of “sterner” stuff than Jimmy, then you could argue Howard almost definitely has that same understanding of the difference between the two. Howard has offered reconciliation with Jimmy because he sees both the pain and potential hidden beneath the…
I think Ms. Seehorn’s direction may have tricked both the reviewer and most viewers, because Howard mentioning his wife is purposely played as something insignificant in the opening scene and it only gets a passing mention in this review. However, I’m pretty sure this is the first time we find out that Howard actually…
Jimmy has a point. Who does move a cone?
For those of us who grew up playing computer games in the 90s, I hope she uses an interview one of these days to speak of her voice work as Pajama Sam.
I mean, I would be SHOCKED if he wasn’t mentioning Nacho specifically in that scene by this point.
I’m trying to go to bed while getting that image of Hector shooting him over and over out of my head at the same time. This show, man....
You could begin to sense something was up when you realize halfway through this ep that Nacho has been treated as the main character of these early episodes and Jimmy and Kim as somewhat secondary.
Was the second season three years ago? Man, this was an even longer wait than Better Call Saul...
