Toy Story 5 is coming out 30 years after the first Toy Story. Is there even anyone involved from the original movie?

That could be part of it. But Pixar was starting a gradual decline when he was still at the helm.

You could be right. You could be wrong. It all depends on the approach they take. A college reunion ten years later doesn’t have to be a doomed idea.

Yeah, I really can’t imagine how it’s still watchable with all the original five members gone. Does it still put up great streaming numbers or something?

Parks and Rec was also smart not to tie in with “The Office” universe. Then again, that didn’t translate to it being a huge ratings hit.

Because The Office has gotten so enormously popular with younger viewers who’ve discovered it on streaming years later, I feel like people forget just how irrelevant the show had become when the last two seasons were on the air.

All I know is that the AV Club is impossible to browse on a phone.

I am just realizing the original Walking Dead series ended. I don’t recall this site even reviewing the series finale when it aired.

I remember a few years ago when Giancarlo Esposito was the only actor nominated from the Better Call Saul cast. And no disrespect to Esposito, but only nominating him out of that ensemble felt like evidence that many voters weren’t even watching the show at all.

Even when Morrison’s voice was haggard, “Break on Through” was still amazing in concert. That song never lost its magic touch.

I love him, but half of Elton John’s discography could qualify for this list.

Interesting story and opinion. Have you read Last Train to Memphis and Careless Love? I feel like Peter Guralnick would have uncovered information about an illegitimate child if that were true. His book certainly left no stone unturned.

If this is an opportunity to advocate for Malick’s most recent movie, A Hidden Life, it is an incredibly beautiful film. Challenging but powerful. Don’t let any ill will created from his prior works affect your opinion on this one. It was a magnificent return to form.

U Talkin’ Talking Heads 2 my Talking Head?

I think Greg’s arc is the most disappointing of them all only because, to your point, the first two seasons felt like they were setting him up to be the one character to actually show growth. We’re told how we’re supposed to feel about the Roy siblings from the get-go, but Greg felt like he could have been different s

I like how casually the ultimate fate of the side characters is mentioned, like Karolina losing her job to Hugo and Tom mentioning how quick Frank and Karl will be ousted. Cruel world...

Honestly, I give them more credit for realizing it worked as a series finale. Making a fifth season without Logan could have opened a situation where the show starts running on fumes, whereas this ending almost leaves you feeling it could have kept going. I also appreciate how realistic it is about the circumstances

Don’t know if anyone has mentioned this, but wasn’t it Trump Hotel and Tower that Roman was entering at the beginning of the episode where the four siblings met for lunch?

It’s kind of a bummer that he hasn’t been terribly prolific. You’d think you’d want to roll out a few more albums when you’re young and in your prime.
