This reads like a book report on 'The Devil Wears Prada". It doesn't even really sound like the author was very invested in the job, she was just "there" for most of it. To the author - You have a college degree, go use it.
Ugh, I know right. This is like that time I put up with all that shit while only being paid $8/hr without any benefits at all. But it totally sucks that you don't get any attention at the luxury parties in the Hamptons or whatever.
How do these people have jobs that pay enough for this stuff? They do not look like they are employable at a sufficient level.
She is overweight. But she has class and style... and confidence. She doesn't "look fat" because "fat" has such a negative connotation, and she doesn't put that negativity forth. She is a large, pretty woman. But I agree, she doesn't look "fat" to me either.
I don't think they'll end up in a relationship because Louis doesn't deal in fairytales. And he knows that guys are going to suddenly be "yeah now I think that fat irls are cute! "
Sarah Baker was wonderful.
Leaving out any judgment, isn't that (for the vast majority of women) statement true? I don't mean at any moment she wants under every one of her terms, I mean in general, it wouldn't be all that difficult for the average woman to get laid on a fairly regular basis. Maybe not with the same guy on a regular basis or…
Baker should win awards for that performance.
My favorite part was when she told him that they match. Because yep... they do. They would make a cute couple.
I just finished watching this and hoped you'd do a piece on it. Vanessa is soooooo good. Her rant hits the nail on the head (in my opinion). Everyone should watch the episode. I loved the mix of silly humour (the bang bang) with the poignancy of this speech. Louie is one the best tv shows, ever.
Couldn't disagree more, I thought she absolutely killed it.
DAMN RIGHT!
Watched it last night and loved it. "Why do you hate us so much?"
And we all thought it was Jennifer Aniston who loved cocaine...
Don't confuse educated with intelligent. They are two entirely separate things.
I have a very good education, but would make a crap columnist. I think there's an element of inherent talent as a story teller that you either have or you don't. She doesn't seem to have much to say, and doesn't have an interesting way of saying it. Soz, Pippa.
