I prefer that as well, and a wider world can help to make a story richer, but when a story is being told to make a certain point (which I won't declare is the case with this movie, he's probably just a Cylon), the surrounding circumstances may not matter as much. There's a certain merit to simplicity sometimes, if

To be fair, telling a story in a scifi setting does not automatically mean that the writers need to create a universe that is any bigger than the story itself. Great stories aren't necessarily made up of the worlds in which they take place.

I think I was unclear. What I meant was that I'd rather wear a helmet well-suited to protecting my head in a situation in which head protection is more likely to actually be effective. I.E. if getting hit by a car will kill me whether I'm wearing a helmet or not, I'd rather wear a helmet better suited to low-speed

I have the same question. This article seems to imply that I can either be same from getting hit by a car (well, as safe as simply wearing a helmet will make me) or safe from falling off my bike, but not both? I'd imagine that a helmet would do less for me if I were hit by a car than if I simply crashed or fell.

Seriously. Still very cool though.

Ever since I got my new camera I haven't been as good at keeping track, but I'd say I'm probably at around 45,000 photos since 2009. Maybe 1000 have been on my phone.

I get your point, but comics are not generally so big on realism in any sense of the word. Trying to fly like superman will probably also break your spine (as well as the rest of the bones in your body). I understand having a problem with sexualized depictions of women that are so over the top that they become

I've recently started drinking a lot of Earl Grey. Great stuff.

Castle's characters are pretty much all revealed as nerds at some point or another, and none of them are shoehorned into the TV nerd stereotype. It actually comes across as slightly unrealistic sometimes, even though there's no reason why it should be.

Well the Facebook TOS is really an adhesion contract. As the worlds largest social network, it isn't really possible for an individual to bargain with Facebook, or take their "business" elsewhere (don't say Myspace or Google+; you know that isn't really an option for people who actually want a social network that

I hate to say it, but it isn't so unlikely that a court would find that this case has merit. The primary elements to make out a case for vicarious liability for copyright infringement are 1) the existence of an infringing act; 2) a right or ability on the part of the defendant to control the infringement; and 3)

Not sure why I never asked anyone this before, but if these types of cameras require additional lenses to work, what advantage (other than just weight alone) do they provide if you aren't using a pancake lens?

Why does Gamefly need my credit card information to send me a free digital file?

Retina rectangles, woohoo! Maybe it's just something one can't appreciate unless they have a retina display, pardon my initial sarcasm.

Hm, not a bad idea. I also have the money split between investments and savings, so something like this may work well for me.

Since I will need to take out more loans for my remaining semesters, might it not make more sense to hold on to the cash in case I don't find work after I finish? That way I can make payments for at least a few years even if I have no income. On the other hand, I also want to make sure that I choose the path that

Thanks!

I'm in law school, so my ability to find a job right now is far from certain (though I'm hoping the next two years will help somewhat).
