Since I will need to take out more loans for my remaining semesters, might it not make more sense to hold on to the cash in case I don't find work after I finish? I'm wondering what everyone else thinks about the dilemma I've been facing lately. I have a bunch of student loans gathering interest while I'm still in school. I have the assets to pay them off, but doing so would take a huge chunk out of my savings and investments. Would it be better to wait to pay off the loans

From what I've been able to find, blade lengths under 4" seem to be acceptable. A cop did once threaten to arrest me once for having a (very) small knife a few years ago though.

I know the reason for it, but the fact that they include the opt-out clause and also emailed users specifically informing them of this new provision and of their option to opt-out renders the clause (in my opinion) actually not unconscionable. Which is kind of the point.

So you haven't read the books and aren't saying they're bad, but if she were to write scifi it would be a tragedy of some kind because she wouldn't be revolutionizing the genre?

So... You don't like the word hipster any more, now that everyone is using it?

Oh I get it. This kid hasn't gotten the sex talk yet. If he had, he'd know that homosexuals don't produce children (generally, though it is possible). If homosexuality "spread" (like some kind of infection?) to a degree sufficient to halt human evolution then we probably wouldn't have to worry about the ducks at all.

My mistake, I actually missed the email from them about this, but it's right there in my inbox.

Arbitration clauses like this are pretty common. The uncommon part of this is the fact that Paypal lets users opt out at all. I'm kind of impressed, but also not. Yeah we can opt out, but I don't remember ever getting communication from Paypal informing me of that fact.

Class actions are mostly useful as a weapon. If they know that they can only be sued on an individual basis then they don't have to be as careful to be good to their customers.

No need to apologize, particularly since I was the one to jump into that conversation.

Artists push the boundaries of art. Why should the fact that most people aren't artists bother you?

Jail, for one. That's something worth worrying about.

I think the problem people have is that Apple forced a downgrade from a better product to an inferior one. You can say that the OS upgrade was optional, but forcing the user to choose between pros and cons is not what an upgrade is supposed to do.

I've been enjoying the fact that Google Now will give me a card with directions/navigation to places that I've recently searched for on my laptop. Same idea, but even faster to use (if it's a recent search).

It looks like it may be because of the low quality of the banner image, it may have compressed the colors. Or not.

I just (yesterday) upgraded my camera from a Canon T1i to a 7D. I've been finding lately that the T1i was inadequate for a lot of the freelance work I was doing, and wanted something that would give me more options. So far, wow.

Interesting. Maybe I need to re-watch them. I remember getting the impression that Umbrella was specifically trying to kill the main characters in each movie.
