In theory, I agree with you. It becomes a question of degree I suppose. How intelligent does a species need to be to make the transition from animal to person? We obviously grant special status to members of our own species (no offense to those with incredibly severe disabilities), and that calls into question the way

Give them liberty or we'll give them death.

I don't think the "corporations are people" legal metaphor actually goes that far, but I like the way you think.

Of all the ways in which you could argue that the Constitution is outdated and no longer relevant, I'm not sure you picked a very good one...

He didn't say that it condones animal cruelty, merely that animals aren't people and that if we were to assume that animals have the exact same rights as people it would lead to absurd results.

True that. I've worn my winter coat maybe five times this winter (so far), and regretted that decision at least once.

I think the idea is that you do this for places that you actually want to go to and that these are just tips to help you get a bit closer to the people that run the place.

Seriously guys? "Time to panic" "It'll probably be fine"

I was thinking the same thing, too bad you got to it first :P

For reading a magazine the iPad is a hands-down winner, but most paper-back books aren't much different in size from your average Kindle or Nook.

Guys, none of those are the app deals of the day.

For me, my iPad is amazing for documents. I use Dropbox and the Amazon Kindle app to keep track of course materials and I use the incredible Westlaw Next app for case research. I tend to use it more as a supplement to my workflow than as a standalone computer, but it's definitely awesome in that capacity.

I'd love to play it on my Android phone (way more convenient), but I already bought it for the iPad months ago. The game was fun, but I certainly don't want to pay for it twice.

You're welcome :)

This actually works very nicely on my phone as well.

Except for the largest advantage, which is price.

I prefer gaming on the PC, but consoles are cheaper, they allow more readily for multiplayer (not optimal but if you're with other people it's good to have), and, like it or not, they've been gaining in popularity for a long time now.

That was my point, but I think I replied to the wrong person, which made me just look stupid.

Well I'm looking for my first internship. The market for free labor isn't quite as bad as the actual job market.

I don't own a Mac, and I'm not a particular fan of them, but there really is no comparison. Those trackpads are slick, responsive, and have just the right amount of drag on your fingers (hating my Lenovo trackpad).
