But if a potential intern handed you a card with just a link to their about.me page, would you actually check it out or would you toss it in the garbage and move on to the next candidate?

Business cards are still very relevant in more traditional fields. As a law student, I've been encouraged to excise any hint of individuality in the way that I present myself to potential employers. Giving a link instead of a business card, or using any font other than Times New Roman, could apparently cost me a job.

Vlingo inCar lets you do this on Android, but restricts you to the default voice trigger. It does let you customize the response though. It also lets you choose to only have it listen for your voice while it's plugged in, which is also nice.

Oh please no...

I didn't read the linked article but I kind of assumed that this wasn't a retail job the guy was talking about... Unless I misunderstood you?

Is it just me or was there nothing in that video that had anything to do with actually holding a tablet or phone?

I'm not in math or engineering, so I'll defer to your expertise in that area, but I very rarely write in my legal casebooks, I'd love to not have to carry all of them every day. It would probably help if ebook reader apps allowed handwritten notes and highlighting.

Price and weight aren't a big deal to you? I'd rather spend a few seconds typing in a page number or tapping on a chapter in the contents that have to carry an extra twenty pounds in my bag every day.

Not coincidence; conspiracy.

This may sound silly but I'd love an extra half inch of space in my backpack. When I have to carry a lot of thick and heavy books I sometimes have trouble fitting them into my bag and an extra half inch would make a big difference.

Maybe if my phone was able to come at all close to going a whole day without dying it would be feasible to not allow the battery to go all the way down more often...

Alas, that is not true :( I have taken many, many terrible macro photos.

I've been getting along without it, but I really liked the fact that I could call up voice search/dial/text from anywhere on my OG Droid by just holding down the search button from within any app.

I should have specified, I'm using a Galaxy Nexus, hence the problem.

Does anyone know who's brilliant idea it was to remove the dedicated search button in ICS? Is there any way I can get it back without rooting my phone?

Don't you mean "you ARE grammar is atrocious"?

Woah, thanks!

But will it work on the Galaxy Nexus? I was disappointed when I found out that the old version doesn't.

I think we agree...

Ok, technically this isn't the tort of theft or conversion. I still think that, morality aside, the basic meaning of the word "steal" can still apply, since you may be causing economic loss to the copyright holder. What they seem to be up in arms about is not the file itself but the fact that you didn't buy it from
