Well if a person would have otherwise paid for the content then by acquiring it without paying for it you are causing economic harm to the copyright holder. I'm not saying it's necessarily morally wrong to download a TV show, but in a sense, you are in fact stealing something from them, even if it isn't a physical

No I agree with you. But at its core calling it stealing still seems to apply since you're using copyrighted material for a use for which it was not intended, and the point of a copyright is to protect such material.

But if someone's primary means of earning income (for argument's sake) comes from selling that intellectual property, and you deprive them of income, isn't that,in effect, stealing that income from them?

When it comes to intellectual property what exactly is the difference? Seems like semantics to me.

Well it didn't actually spoil the ending really, but here's the full text of the story: [www.webscription.net]

Hm, found it on the internet, that's convenient:

Touche

I remember a short story in which a guy did this in order to escape from a facility in which cute, bear-like aliens were holding him in order to figure out why their legends warn them to stay away from humans. They had modified his genetic structure so that he'd be immortal and he just kept spitting away for years

In any case, this isn't what's going to save them (I wasn't using either network at the time so I really have no clue what was going on back then in that regard).

Well yeah, I ended up going a bit overboard. It's been a long couple of months :P

Is that what they said? I was under the impression that people left Myspace because Facebook snagged them by seeming exclusive?

Facebook has a huge mountain of cash. They need this in order to increase their profits, not to stay afloat.

I guess it's the use of the word "twin" that bothers me, particularly when talking about groups that include hundreds, thousands, millions of planets. Three people born at the same time are triplets, not twins, so how can all three planets be twins? And "twin" seems to connote a great degree of similarity than the

I find this incredibly disturbing. There is no realistic amount of money someone can offer me that will convince me to eat any part of a person :|

It's really irrational of me to get annoyed by unlabeled artist renderings of planets that we can't actually see, right? I mean, people know that that isn't what they look like...

Does the operator of a blocked website have the ability to bring suit or have some kind of hearing after the fact? Due process doesn't demand pre-termination hearings in every single case in which something is taken away from someone, it's generally pretty fact sensitive, and it doesn't seem like this is seizure of

You can say the same about TV or radio. Yes there's plenty of news on there, but there's far more entertainment. Most people don't get their news from Youtube, so I'd be even less likely to expect news videos or important events to rank very high.

No idea. I figured I would just tell them I was switching to a new phone and activate it... Why is it any of their business?

I'm trying to convince my wife to take my old Droid to use instead of her dumbphone, even without a data plan (she doesn't want to pay for it). It's slow compared to the GNexus, but it is a great phone.

That's fair. Personally, I can get lost in the most ridiculous things, like the interplay of light and a bottle of Vitamin Water. That's what draws me to these in particular, the sheer attention to those minute details that fascinate me.
