True. I guess what I meant was more that our current system seems to be a natural progression from individual hunters to trying to feed billions of people (albeit failing miserably at that). I just don't think the animal knows the difference, or cares that you have more of a connection to it.

I prefer to use extra virgin olive oil on salads or with bread, if I'm sauteing I'll use regular olive oil sometimes but I never use it for cooking, I can't taste the difference in the finished product.
