If you don't have $800, the Sigma 18-200mm f3.5-6.3 works just fine so long as you're outdoors.

That sounds fine to me (not an expert), though when I really need flexibility outdoors I use my Sigma 18-200mm lens. Still, I don't see why you'd need anything extreme for just walking around, I'd probably just bring my 50mm f1.8 and work around it's limitations.

I think with anything other than a pinhole you'll just get a pure white image, no?

I was referring to the fact that the author said that she never uses any but the home button on her phone.

Next thing you know people will start getting arrested if they hum a tune in the street, providing copyright infringing performances as they pass by hundreds of people.

Well I don't have a Mac but aren't there plenty of Mac apps that cost more than just a few dollars?

Of course, there are exceptions to every rule, but stopping to think (in most, but not all situations, you don't need to stop and think if you're trying to capture an action shot) results in more consistently good photos.

I've looked at plenty of websites but it really comes down to going out and trying and failing until you succeed. One good bit of advice I read was to actually think before you take a shot because digital lends itself to just snapping away with no thought for composition or anything.

Anyone know of any reason why I would NOT want to jump on that 14" Lenovo Laptop? I was thinking about the new Acer Timeline X 14" but this seems to have better specs for less.

How do you get away with never using the menu or back buttons?

You're assuming we'd never have reason or want to expand beyond our own planet. We have enough resources to sustain our current population, but unless you start enforcing reproduction limits (or something particularly destructive happens to us) humanity is only going to get bigger. I'm not saying we currently have the

Damn, nothing I have can reach all the way to the west coast... You win. This time.

Dirt makes it black... You've never seen this before?

Well space is about as empty as any solid matter is, assuming you're defining emptiness by the ratio of matter to literal empty space, but there's plenty out there. The sheer fact that we may eventually run out of important resources is a good reason to look for outside sources.

I disagree with RossLH, you want to let it simmer on low heat until all the excess liquid boils out. Salt and pepper to taste and you should be fine ;)

Add Schug to the hummus. Spicy :)

I guess it depends on what you want to eat. My wife follows a few food blogs and when she sees a recipe she thinks would be good (and wouldn't require too much effort) we try it out. Even spaghetti, eggs, and pizza can be awesome if you make the pizza and pasta from scratch or if you change up the way you make the

The problem with cowbell is that there's never quite enough of it.

Definitely my camera. I have a lot of hobbies but photography is one of the ones I find most gratifying.
