I had a moment like this - not quite as close up. NYC in 2010, winter. I was on a project on 7th and W 30th. Glanced out the window, and there it was - a red Ferrari F40 on a flatbed headed up 30th. I blinked, and it was still there. Beats the time I saw a Veyron on 6th Avenue.

And remember, there is no need to steer it. The Invisible Hand does that ....

This is his reward for testing all those Camrys, Accords, and Cavaliers. Couldn't happen to a better TV presenter.

This is excellent - if you forgave Damon Lindelof for the last 3 season of Lost (obviously written by newly-hired writers not shown the first 3 seasons) then forgive her.

25o bucks at best, but only b/c I mistyped the first digit, which should have been a 1.

If they add a woman, make it Jodie Kidd.

Easy solution - Broder drives the route again as soon as practical, Musk rides shotgun. QED.

1988 - '87 Toyota 4x4 longbed - driving home in a snow storm, Rte 28 in Maryland (2 lane road). Back end snapped around, suddenly I'm hanging by the shoulder strap staring at the roadbed through the passenger window. Climbed out, eventually 2 guys in an F150 helped me push it back onto its wheels and I drove it home.

And you could drive the Opel without a bag over your head.

What car costing 100k w/ a boot and a back seat performs as well ...?

photos please ... we might rescue them ...

Still looks contemporary despite not having the chunkiness of, say, a 370Z - what a great ride.

That was my plan had I gotten above-described car - figured I'd hire the best to convert it. Slushbox in my GF's car was OK, but the car would have benefitted greatly from a 5 speed. Her's was a '91, the one I wanted to buy was a '96 - does a different chassis explain how the latter felt better to drive?

Went to buy one of these in '97 when it was clear Subaru was pulling it - my then GF had one and I loved driving it. Sticker was north of 36k and I explained to the sales guy that when I drove it off the lot it would take at least a 10 grand hit. Couldn't get him out of the low 30s, so I bought a '97 Taurus SHO. Still

But will Clarkson be able to get one w/ RHD?

Agreed. In Manhattan and, to a lesser extent, Chicago, land is limited, so the only choice was to go up. Putting skyscrapers where there's plenty of land to build out is an exercise in lunacy.

Damn I love that show - glad you got picked up.

GT-R parked in front of my building a couple years ago did the same to me ... F430 didn't ...
