I think that’s the point they were making. Were people who talk about tipping so much more than average for mails because they knew or suspected something shady and were compensating, or do nail techs simply occupy a space where a 50% tip is the norm?

I have told my hair dresser that I would marry her and take care of her every need for the rest of our lives if she will continue being the most badass hairdresser ever. A decent tip is cheap compared to that level of commitment.
