JDM doesn’t mean what you think it means...

This isn’t an S2000... you recognize that. Look at all the comments here saying it’s not an enthusiast vehicle. It just happens to be a manual version of a basic/boring vehicle.

If you don’t accept the concept that only certain vehicles are generally considered “enthusiast” options, then you’re on the wrong site.  There’s a reason vehicles like the Miata are beloved on this site, while an ‘03 Pontiac Aztek isn’t.

It’s an ‘06 CRV. It’s utterly unremarkable to drive. It’s a totally pedestrian experience and boring. Completely the opposite of your example.

Not really, because it’s value is so largely tied to the fact it’s low miles and unused.  You start using it outdoors and it’s value plummets.  So why not just get something new with a warrant?

I have a 2006 CRV, albeit with an auto. It’s not a penalty box, but it is a box on wheels. It is slow, handles tippily, and gets mediocre gas mileage. In no way is it an enthusiasts car. I have to admit, it makes a decent sound under full throttle.

So the Audi is magically ‘super reliable’ while the Jetta is ‘horrible and will break down’? 😛

Cool slideshow. You guys ever consider doing some research and putting something useful together for us yourselves?

Don’t buy an A-platform Jetta. But do buy an A-Platform A3? Is there such a lack of options in the small luxury segment that A3 is the recommendation?

The official number of electric vehicles sold in 2023 being reported by KBB is 1,189,051. Compare that to just 252,548 battery-electric vehicles sold in 2020, and you’re looking at a 470 percent increase in just three years time

I think it looks great!

4th Gear – We’re going to see progressively more of this because it’s embedded in China’s MIC (Made In China) 2025 policy. This has been in place since 2015 but China doesn’t talk about it publicly as much since around 2018 when a lot of Western governments started complaining more vociferously about it.

It gets you up hills better when it’s slippy. What are you, a flatlander?

The Average EV Driver Is Sitting At A Fast Charger For More Than 40 Minutes”

It’s crazy how people still treat these cars as ICE and expect to stop like gas stations. They literally have no idea the purpose behind the EV; how public chargers are there for when running errands eating out and on a road trip and 100% is not needed, how the actual charging should occur at home not at a charging

Yep, charging at home 360 days out of the year more than offsets the 4-5 hours a year I Supercharge.

I don’t understand this. I’ve owned Teslas for 8 years. Supercharging lately the car is always ready before I am. You start off the day with 300+ miles of range, which means driving for about 4-5 hours. If I stop, use the bathroom and grab a sandwich, the car is ready before I can finish the sandwich. Usually 15-20

Most EV drivers I know charge at home and maybe use public chargers a few times a year.

Got a question:  If someone were on the other side of the badge, and their story kept changing, how fucked would that person be?

The long, drawn out, ridiculous media cycle for this thing really highlights how awesome Ford is at this stuff.
