I’ll take that ring all day any day! My Supra had a ring, easy to use and never once did I mistake 1st or Reverse. 911 Turbo? Crash through and yep I’ve hit the Reverse gear at a light more than once and so have others - it’s scary when you go backwards at a light and not forwards! My RSTi with a 6spd - ring and

I haven’t kept up with these cars but have been considering the Focus RS, who’s doing work with the Mustang EcoBoost and where can I go to learn more without having to hear a bunch of 5liter fanbois? I had a 5.0 LX way back but won’t touch one of these mod motors, I’d go Chevy before I’d do that. But an EcoBoost? I

So far my accumulator lives - this on a 996 Turbo. But I suspect it’ll go eventually and when it does or I pull the motor for rods it’s getting the GT-2 setup. Fuel filter isn’t too bad but I’m swapping the whole fuel system for something with more capacity and turning it up on E85. When the motor comes out I’ll do

It still works, it’s just a damned heavy pedal apparently. I’m more concerned about accumulator failure - that’s WAY more common! Glued water pipes, now those scare me...

I know about these but thankfully haven’t had the wheels off but about 5 times so far. that may soon be increasing however and I don’t much want to be chipping paint off calipers putting them back on so I may take the plunge. I thought one might have come in the toolkit but of course mine is missing :(

Not had to replace plugs but expect that’s coming. Stuff like that isn’t going to bother me too much. Losing a coolant pipe WOT one day because they GLUED the fittings into the block on the other hand is going to piss me off till I’m cross eyed! I completely expect to be pulling the motor to swap rods in the next year

911 are pretty nice but make no mistake they have downsides like any other car and some of the dumb design things Porsche has done are fairly epic too!

The VW and Porsche stuff uses bolts instead of studs with nuts. Some of the higher end Porsche just use one big honking size large nut in the center too. I've got a 911 and a VW and man I hate those damned bolts!

No nuts, bolts ;-)

Actually where I'm at if you get into your car and try to sleep it off they will happily nail you for DUI. You need not have the keys in the ignition nor even within reach. Just BE in the car and they can nail you. When I heard this from someone who had been forced to go through DUI classes I was shocked since it

People do it because they don't want to be tracked down and robbed. Show off pics of your nicely done stereo on a forum somewhere then come out one morning to find that someone has helped themselves to it or the whole car. Post it on CL, tell some lowball bidder to piss off, next morning the car is trashed.

HID finally available on the TDI or still just the damned GLI? I was dying for an A3 TDI stick but Audi kept giving me the finger. Don't like this one as much as the Audi but HID might help the case. 5spd or 6spd, says both in the article I think and I'd prefer a 6 for sure. Honestly I'm thinking I want the new RS

Top Mazda builder in the country/world... not a fabricator....?

Aftermarket front bumper and rear spoiler from the looks of it as I don't think that's a GT2. Squishy seats and those wheels, no way it's a GT2 IMO.

I don't mind the ones he makes so much but around here I've seen anatomically correct ones with wrinkles - that light up..... Ick!

You mean HAD, tracks have been getting closed down left and right - including in LA.

Honestly I haven't and I don't let others use my lift. It's a serious risk if you do even if you're present. If someone gets hurt a relative or family member may even decide to sue against their wishes. Honestly I'm not even positive my insurance company knows about the lift although they've inspected the property

Bought a new 5.0 Mustang in 1988. On the way home I notice half the gauges on one side don't work. I take it in to be fixed and upon returning home realize that the trim under the clear plastic is flipped backwards. I decide to fix that myself rather than take it to them and have to wait another day. I start to pull

I had a girlfriend who parked using the Braille method, it was painful and she tore up a pretty nice Impala SS doing it...

Strongly suggest talking to your insurance agent if you're going to allow anyone around that thing. Most people don't have clue one hoe to use a lift and can easily get hurt - guess who gets sued? Yup, I have one too...
