I'm thinking that perhaps a little toot on the horn might have given the big guy a heads up at least...

I've heard of grudge nights, never actually witnessed one though and the nearest track is well over an hour away. I'm very much familiar with the issues of tons of cars because when I HAVE been to the track I've often found runs limited unless it was a track rental or a lucky T&T. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for

You've stated "clearly" that laws don't work and then proposed criminalizing still more people and raising penalties? Umm.....

but but but think of the children! Shake your fist in anger and impotance that you can't just make a law and force people to behave the way you will it! Give it up with this guy, he's a young punk or an idiot who doesn't understand human nature nor the law it seems. Heaven help us when morons like this actually catch

I truly couldn't care less how many stars you get from people like yourselves who haven't got clue one nor the ability to think through a situation as you have demonstrated. Go ahead and whip out the torches and pitchforks, it worked so well for drugs I'm sure you can do it again for this. /s

No, we absolutely have NOT tried to do much of anything to reduce this other than making penalties higher and higher. You're operating under the fallacy that these people race to be seen - they do NOT. You think that making it expensive to watch a race will make them stop, it will NOT. I have already told you that

I got a novel idea, how about we setup someplace safe with barriers and grandstands? Maybe even some time clocks to show who won and lights to help them figure out when to leave instead of a guy with a flashlight? We used to have these things, idiots started shutting them down after building their houses next to them.

Oh I read your responses, each as out of touch and as ignorant as this one. The whippings will continue until morale improves right? Stronger and stronger penalties until they submit! Put them ALL in jail! This sounds familiar for some reason, like something that's been tried a few times and failed miserably each time.

Wow, you really are out of touch with this. Fining spectators will do nothing except maybe make them scatter and drive recklessly not to get caught too. Want to make sure NO ONE calls an ambulance next time? Fine them and threaten to fine them all. Racing is going to happen, how about instead of tightening the screws

Your mistake is in thinking that anyone is racing for the spectators or that the racers want spectators ANYWHERE around them - they don't. You don't understand the situation at all.

So, they're going to now seize cars and increase penalties. Not build tracks, not give a safe place to race, just make the penalties higher. Cars will now run more often from the authorities. How exactly has that fixed anything?

I've never seen a four wide track much less a four wide race - sounds really interesting but also just a bit more dangerous lol! We used to have many more tracks here but now it's at least an hour drive or more and the lanes PACKED. Track rental is the way to go and we used to organize that on various forums but I've

How many runs a night are folks getting? Can they choose their competition and have the clocks turned off with win lights on? The few tracks left near me are crazy busy anymore! We resorted to renting the track - no side by side allowed though.... It was the only way to actually get a reasonable test and tune though!

The guy up above claiming that street racers are half assed really needs to see that Mustang pull its wheels on launch up close. He'd shit himself...

Depending upon the seizure laws in Cali it's possible that an owner may prefer the car be raced by someone else. In my state, way back, if the racers were caught and the driver wasn't the owner they supposedly couldn't seize the car. In this case the car had a tag from a leasing company that hasn't claimed ownership

Truly stupid idea. Let me tell you how this would go, cop sees you trying to get ahead of another driver at a merge - bam! Street Racing and you lose your car. Cops buy or seize a spiffy car, bam! Street Racing bait car revving at everyone they can find.

They will simply move elsewhere, we used to get chased around quite a bit back in the day. We knew they were getting serious when they brought out helicopters :-O

How long do you think the cameras would last and why do you think anyone would be so stupid as to run plates? Where I'm at the serious street racers arrive on trailers sans plates anyway lol
