They do, they're called landing strips and are used for half and full mile races. There was a race held in Florida a week or so ago and there's one coming up at Pocono raceway in a few months. They hold one in Texas that's a full mile too.

That's a GS and while that would work it's got too many doors and you'd have to run a tweaked turbo manifold. Better an SC for sure. BTW, I'm in that area and have a wrecked Supra - wish a shell would fall from the sky for my parts! a 240Z is my target candidate right now :D
