So true this is the rare show that is more than the sum of it's parts, it's so powerful, funny, and impressive overall, even if each episode isn't perfect, the cumulative effect is pretty brilliant.

I can not believe the review managed to give a fuck about Yuria or Donny.

Right JESUS, this season was weak tea, by turns frustrating and tedious with only few breakthrough moments of real A+ work in terms of both each episode and the overall narrative. This epsiode and this season would get at most a B minus from me.

The overpraise for what was essentially a season long stall, I'm just never gonna get. This was anti climax upon an entire season of table setting. Hitting on the theme of families and couples torn asunder by deceit doesn't excuse all that shit about midges. It was weak season and I resent them taking one season of

But what is her motive for stealing more when she had a dose for herself and it was freely given to her by Major? Also she has no reference point of where to find it, while Justin literally watched Ravi go get the syringes and inject Major.

Yeah it's Justin, his whole reaction to a cure existing and Major not telling him was very "So that's how you roll white boy…" He weren't happy.

One of many things that tend to aggravate me about the show. Let's compromise our deep cover agents and over work them in like 25 contiguous operations.

>>no questions are answered<< I find this an utterly baffling complaint about show that is three seasons in and has never ever been about "answering questions".

Joan's tortured past definitely doesn't excuse any abusive stuff she allegedly did, whether to her staff, a film crew, or her children. But in the context of the series and what the bones of contention were between the women it seems to me Joan was most upset about a lack of professional respect extended toward her by

Yeah I should have said one of her very good friends was Myrna Loy, but whether they were best friends OR just good friends, it still speaks fairly well of Joan that Loy liked her until she passed (she attended the funeral), and vocally defended her against Christina's allegations. Much like Bette/Olivia they come up

I'm the opposite, from what I can tell Bette blamed Joan for stealing a man that always belonged to Joan: Franchot Tone, and she hung on to that shit for 20 years? there was a lot of gross classism from Bette toward Joan, the Lucille shots being the most obviously of those.

Hard Pass, this review confirms everything I hate about James Gray and Hunnam as an actor. UGH. Bad scripts my ass, dude has never been able to act but is he really hot, so here we are.

This title is a bit of a spoiler too as is the poster art.

I did to, this is much much better. But still has the mark of slow pacing, but it gives away enough that there's more tension than ever really materialized in the I am the Pretty Thing.

That saved it for me Adrian is a GREAT villain, human, but still so scary because he's unmoored to anything. He is what Oliver imagined himself to be but isn't because he found Diggle/Felicity rather than being honed to point by Talia.

I don't disagree that Lange is not really trying to mimic or do an impression of Joan Crawford, vocally or otherwise, but to me she completely embodies the complex psychology and dysfunction of her life and mind. I BELIEVE she's Joan Crawford despite not really looking or sounding like her.

I agree, I mean she might have also had an abortion at some point, but she seems to obviously had a pretty serious case of OCD about "cleanliness and order" and wire hangers were cheap and reminder of a past she wanted to distance herself from.

Yeah but Karina uses that "voice" for everyone, it actively aggravates me.

Do you have a link to her speaking in a brassy way, because my dad an Old Hollywood fan says she was exactly like Lange plays her soft spoken and I saw link somewhere to an interview of this period and she was….soft spoken. I feel like I've had this idea she was a loud brassy dame from Faye Dunaway/Mommy Dearest but

Eh I found this to be determined to be dull and completely meh premiere. I love the show but it's admirable way of deglamorizing being a spy, I think it crawls up it's own ass and so I watched them dig a hole for 10 minutes to find a body the government surely would have disposed of in a more permanent flamey matter.
