I’ll just throw out there that Tahoe and Expedition land on every “Cars that’ll make it to 200,000 miles” list I’ve ever seen.  So if you can handle the fuel economy and price, they’re not bad places to spend time.

Went from a Ford Expedition to a 2016 Kia Sedona. Only downside among MANY upsides, is I have to be more careful with steep driveways and approach angles.  And Sedona’s cruise control sucks.

I sincerely believe you overestimate the number of buyers pulling 15000# and underestimate how many people use these as DDs.  Even a work truck that’s underutilized every day is a DD that’s not hauling 15000#.

having worked for what is probably one of the largest HRIS companies in the world, you probably have a pretty small company or you’re oversimplifying the problem. doing what they do is actually very difficult or else they wouldn’t be worth so much money and employ so many people.

you’re right in a way but looking at it another way, 15% of 50k on 100,000 units is not as good as 15% of 25k on 300,000 units.  They sold a year’s worth of units in 5 days for pete’s sake.  They’re printing money.

Ford truck reliability seems pretty good.  F150 and Expedition land on the list of vehicles to make it to 200k miles all the time.  my Expy is up to 216k.

I’d actually bet the margins are pretty good.  The other ford trucks have pretty awesome profit margins.  They buoy the rest of the company.
