you never hear about the Kona/Niro EVs but those are probably more in line size wise with the Bolt. The EV6/Ioniq5 i think is a class size or two up, with more powerful motors, hence they’re more expensive.

you’re assuming it was new.  and it’s off the dealer lot so that right there makes it at most $100k.

Does this count as a wagon still?  and is it long dead enough?

eh, makes sense.

do what I do and have both, each bought used of course. and yes, the sports car is only driven >2000 miles a year because most of my life requires a large vehicle that doesn’t need to be capable of 180mph.

Then the 2000 Mustang Cobra R would fit in here. So would the later Super Cobra Jet.

why not just go all the way for the 6.9

Here are the cars that’ll get ‘63’ V8 for 2023:

I’d be pissed I couldn’t just cover those spots up with one of those steering wheel covers from Walmart...

my guess is because improving the testing and education would make obtaining a license cost more, like in some European countries, the training to get a drivers license can cost $2000. People in america think driving is a right, not a privilege that people have to pay for to obtain the training and skill to gain that

proportional fining exists in Switzerland or one of those countries. someone got fined like $750,000 for doing 140 on a highway because he was obscenely rich.

There are plenty of Supras, Gallardos, GT-Rs, and 911 Turbos that are at that hp level without as extensive a list of modifications as you have listed... In a lot of cases, it’s just add (bigger) turbos, and increase boost.

PDK didn’t come until the 997.2 in 2009. that said, 997 turbos aren’t $150k. more like high 80s or 90s.  (these two are 997.1's with TipS and 6speed)

Oh yeah, I was pointing out that the fact that it’s probably a $100+k transmission is actually very cool.

Uh, they already have a RWD 225hp model with the 77kw battery. doesn’t do 400 miles though, just 310. moving to a FWD probably wouldn’t change that.

That transmission probably legit costs as much as a Lexus LC500 to build.

if you limit it to just buses, then that lane will basically be empty almost all the time, defeating the purpose it was meant for. if it’s full HOV2+, assuming it’s not because of asshats trying to enter and leave by crossing a double line, then it should be turned into HOV3+ (or HOV4+ if it’s still jam packed).

my understanding is that the 2nd gen Fit doesn’t have the same packaging magic as the first gen one did (US gens, not Japan/ROW gens).

good points but people want features in their personal vehicles and care a lot less about what’s in their work vehicle. we’re close to the point, with smartphone integration, that everybody’s infotainment is essentially the same- carplay or android auto. I don’t really know anyone that uses factory navigation anymore.
