I don’t really want “fun” in my daily driver traffic commuter, I want easy. I also don’t want “fun” in my (fast) family hauler, even if I could get one.

how would it look with the normal size but just lowered by 3 inches?  I mean, its a V-series- off road capability isn’t going to be its primary objective anymore.

would the proportions still work while maintaining all the interior space?  or would that cause the green house to be too tall for the lower half of the car?  I think if the greenhouse/interior space shrunk proportionately to the overall height of the car, it would be less competitive.  part of the current full size

that’s a size class smaller than the Escalade.

to be fair, the Escalade sold pretty well also.

Stop messing with my autobahn dream, haha. I have driven in Montana when the speed limit was “safe and prudent”.  I went stretches at 110mph where it felt like I didn’t see another car for like an hour.

the looks have grown on me over the years, but 3 years ago, this would have been $30-40k (a friend sold one for $35k in this condition in ‘18 or ‘19). I just can’t get my head around having to spend so much on maintenance for a car with just 300hp. The F355 at least had 380ish and a 4.0 0-60 time which means you won’t

some of these talk about what would be the fastest or the best (short) experience on the autobahn, but the best autobahn cruiser would have to be a long wheelbase luxury sport sedan with a ton of power that can sit at 200kph for like 5 hours at a time and feel like it’s going 100kph and effortlessly jump up to 250kph

unfortunately $5k might be light if it has more than one of several problem areas- cooling system, VANOS, seats, etc. most are $2500 fixes.

cant you say that about every mid 2000s german car (other than i drive, which every german sport sedan has a version of now)?

TRUTH

those fender flares really make the car.

it’s probably because the residual on the M-B is for some reason really low - at the end of the lease, the car is probably worth more than the buy out cost.

The GLA is admittedly small though.

i would have loved a brown E450 wagon. wife drives a brown metallic W205 C300 Sport...

if the resale is so stellar on the wagons, why is the lease payment so much more on the M-B? are you telling me the A6 all road residual is so much higher than an E450 wagon?  hard to believe.

unfortunately, you would have been the only one...

Naw, you still want a car.  BART and Muni suck if you have to use them all the time.  and uber and lyft can get expensive with surge pricing.

Here, as in SF?  They must have been hella rich in Sweden then.
