Look at it another way- that driver is ridiculously brave or stupid to drive a vehicular missile at that speed with all the things the car is telling them is wrong with it.

Your wife is gonna kill you now.

then 914 maybe?

don’t ever drive a 2.slow jetta then.  it takes more than a second and a half longer.

what about speeding up? if you’re in the wrong gear, should it let you wind it to the rev limiter?

i was 6,0 when I got married.  today, after almost 20 years, I’m about 5'11 1/2.  I blame my wife’s oppressive thumb always pushing me down :)

full sized trucks probably arent selling at MSRP right now either so maybe it’s OK?

It’s a nasty cycle- someone wealthy enough to keep this car on the road properly, won’t be satisfied with a car with so little performance or cachet. Except maybe as a symbol of just how obscenely rich they are that they can keep such a money pit in top shape. For me, there are better money pits though.

I could get behind this if he tube framed the front half.  But as it is, it looks like a Mad Max reject.  I don’t like the hood or the inner fenders AT ALL.

i don’t know man- Camry’s these days are pretty damn fast...

the fools will be laughing all the way to the bank in a couple years when they will essentially be paid to have enjoyed driving a fantastic car.

luckily they’re very cheap, accessible, and take like 10 minutes to replace.

no parent who cared about their kids’ safety would let them drive either, in the land of the SUV. $14k?  ‘16 CPO Civic.  That’s what I did...

100k miles and 25 years is a pretty long time. there are probably a number of reasonable reasons aside from abuse that an engine could have needed to be replaced over that many miles and 25 years. especially a performance motor.

I mean, it’s a CL ad right? if you explained some of those things right up front, 90% of lookers probably won’t even know what you just wrote.  plus a lot of people won’t read a novel of a CL ad.

my 60 year old 1800 sq ft 4/3 house, in the burbs went from $500k when we bought in 2011 to the current $1.4M. if not for my love of where I live, proximity of family, and the ridiculous salaries my wife and i command in this market, we’d probably move.

Bingo. When I’m looking for joy, I drive my Porsche. when I’m looking to schlep my kids to softball practice, I want to be driving a Prius.

I’m just thinking that those early 335is weren’t paragons of reliability so I’d steer clear.

Only concerning track day longevity.

If it should last as long as an M4 or a GT3, it should cost about the same right?
