I got my wife into watching this channel when it first came out. We are avid fans now.

My 2013 FJ has crawl control.
I’ve used it twice. First time to see what it does, 2nd time up a pretty gnarly hill. It was actually fun! I look at it like another tool in the toolbox if I need it.

I’ve gotta agree, I think the interior is better. I’m not a fan of the outside though.

I had a 2006 Ranger Sport. Now THAT was a work truck.
This one looks bland as hell. Had they kept making them, I might have still kept buying them.
I’m a Toyota guy now.

2 years ago I started researching Jeeps, cuz I wanted one. The price then was outrageous.
Then I ran across the price for the FJ... slightly less, but close.
Then I started reading reviews, researching stats, getting opinions.
Finally I test drove a new Jeep. (I had rented a Wrangler in Cabo and run around baja a bit,

I have yet to have the opportunity to Black Bear, it’s been on my bucket list since forever.
I think the big issue is people who don’t know what they are getting into and expect their rented offroad vehicle to be able to go anywhere without knowing “How” to get said vehicle anywhere.

That things pricing new is almost what I paid for my 13 FJ new.
I’ll keep my FJ, thanks :)

Now playing

That and Black Gap Road.
It’s a bit more technical and will test both the driver and the car.
Here’s part 1 of 3 videos I took on that trail.

This is why I don’t buy or trust GM.
Sub par products, dishonesty... and didn’t they fly in a private jet to the bailout hearings?

I’m headed to AZ in a little over a month. I get to wheel in and around Sedona for a day or so while on that trip. Now I’m going to have to try this place too.

Hallucinogens!

FJ’s last year on the lot was 2014. Those 7 must have been left over from last year.
I’m surprised the Fiats Jeeps, sold so well.

My Dad worked with USAID mainly in Latin America, so I grew up as a foreign service brat.
What an amazing life to move from place to place, meet new people, see new lands.
For us it was Panama, Bolivia, Honduras and Egypt. He retired in 84 but contracted some more in El Salvador, Costa Rica and Guatemala for a bit.
Moving

As a 51 year old I agree. DO IT!
I got laid off right before 9/11 and went through my savings and now I’m playing catch up.
401K and an IRA if you can do it.

Iron Man Cell foam pro is what I’m looking at.
I’m no expert on suspension yet, but everything I’ve read so far seems to be the direction I want to go.
Beefy shocks and welds, handles desert terrain and all but extreme offroading at the parks.
Since I plan on more overlanding type of driving they come with different

Or has a big goofy grin as you successfully make it through some obstacles you didn’t think you could.

A little late to the party here, but the #1 noob advice is “Never wheel alone”.
Which I broke my first time out, HAHA.
Thanksgiving day 2013 my FJ was almost a month old, stock street tires and I hadn’t played with all the pretty buttons for A-Track, diff lock, etc.
My sister has a place in Wimberley, TX (Yes right NEXT

The Bolivia special was my favorite.

The Bolivia Episodes! Watching them on the Yungas road brought back some exciting memories of my dad taking us down that road. It was a lot scarier back in the mid 70’s, but then again, I was about 10 years old.
