So Barry & Ralph don’t care about secret identities? Both show up at the girl’s hospital room to offer best wishes right after the incident & Ralph returns to demonstrate his powers via “balloon animals.” WTF?

Last weeks episode was the season’s first clunker...

One of things I love about The AV Club is that for the most part the reviewers and the community respect that some of us specifically avoid the previews.

I’d like to focus more attention on the idea that, with a 20-second head start, the non-speedster bad guy can “get away” from the Flash.

I’m sorry, but that actress wasn’t a patch on Hedy Lamarr. I know they chose her because of her inventions, but I was thought it was intriguing that Lamarr was the actress they chose to have Helen eclipse. According to George Sanders, Lamarr had the effect on men that Helen has in this. He said even in a town full of

Hartley Sawyer (Ralph) looks like the love child of Dick York and Dick Sargent. I can’t unsee it now.

Last week it was revealing that Darhk’s daughter is Darhk’s daughter. This week it’s the willy nilly talk about next week’s episode.

There’s Wonder Girl aka Troia/Donna Troy her sometimes adopted sister, Artemis from an offshoot of the Amazons, Nubia who was originally her black twin sister (when she had the origin of being sculpted by clay brought to life by the gods), Cassie Sandsmark aka Wonder Girl her half sister.

I kinda wish they’d been more specific about what Helen’s whole deal was—the actress was certainly beautiful, but this is the goddamn CW, literally everyone is beautiful. Having all the guys falling over themselves without some kind of supernatural explanation seemed a little weird to me.

I loved that, for all that the Council of Wells didn’t get along at first, they were all very unanimous in not wanting Wells the Grey to be involved.

I don’t know about metahuman, but given she comes from the age of Greek Mythology, she might have been literal about that being cursed thing.

Yet another failing to his reviews on top of getting basic character and plot details wrong and critiquing everything in a reductive social context to the exclusion of any other possible narrative lens.

“Black Bison” ‘s personality seemed more like the fanatic Silver Deer, his female compatriot (actually Cherokee rather than Lakota). Bison was also always a sympathetic character, because he was partially possessed by his grandfather. I don’t see the point of altering the character in this way. Why not just make it

The script by Keto Shimizu and Ubah Mohamed ignores the racism that would have been rampant in Hollywood during this time, allowing Martin-as-Jax to freely associate with Hedy Lamarr.

Third clunker in a row. They’ve lost the magic and now they are clearly trying too hard to recapture it

They went from just showing a pair of red boots to Superman actually appearing on screen, so never say never.

Sava giving away SPOILERS two weeks in a row.

Easter egg: Clifford DeVoe’s address was mentioned as “43 Hibbard Street”. This is a nod to E. E. Hibbard who co-created the “Thinker” character in 1943.

Yeah, the show’s been straining for laughs all season. The problem is, the Flash writers have been writing mopey nonsense for so long, they forgot how to properly balance the humor with seriousness. I’d still take this over “Abra Kadabra” or “The Wrath of Savitar” though.
